Tokyo
You'll arrive in Japan and clear customs, then take a shared shuttle bus to your hotel. After getting settled, the afternoon is open for you to relax or start exploring the area on your own. Tour details will come your way in the afternoon so you know what's ahead.

- Day 2
Tokyo
A five-hour guided tour takes you through Tokyo's different neighborhoods starting at Zojoji Temple for views of Tokyo Tower. From there you'll head to Shibuya Crossing and Meiji Shrine, then walk along Omotesando Avenue passing the Imperial Palace and Nijubashi Bridge. The route continues through Akihabara to Tokyo Skytree where you can see the city from above. By late afternoon you'll reach Asakusa at Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Street. Later, take the subway to Shinjuku for a guided walk and dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to your hotel.

- Day 3
Tokyo to Kawaguchiko
You'll travel toward Mount Fuji, first stopping at Arakurayama Sengen Park for classic mountain views. Then you'll head to Kawaguchiko where you'll see Fuji Sengen Shrine and take a boat ride on Lake Kawaguchiko. Driving up Mount Fuji's Fifth Station road gets you to 2,305 meters (7,562 feet) through beautiful forest scenery. Back in Kawaguchiko you'll stay overnight at a traditional ryokan where you can soak in the onsen. Dinner is included.

- Day 4
Kawaguchiko to Kyoto
This morning follows a scenic road around lakes to reach Iyashi no Sato Nenba, a traditional village that was destroyed in a 1966 typhoon and rebuilt as an open-air museum with shops and cultural exhibits. Next you'll see Shiraito Falls with water cascading 20 meters down. Then it's on to Nagoya for the Toyota Museum before heading to Kyoto for an overnight stay.

- Day 5
Kyoto
You'll spend the day in Kyoto exploring Japan's ancient capital. Start in Arashiyama at Togetsukyo Bridge, then visit Tenryuji Temple (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and walk through its bamboo forest. Later you'll see Fushimi Inari Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and the golden Kinkakuji Temple with its beautiful gardens. After the guided portion, free time lets you wander through Gion, Kyoto's traditional district where you might catch sight of geishas.

- Day 6
Kyoto to Osaka
You'll head to Nara to visit Todaiji, a large Buddhist temple from 752 where a giant Buddha statue sits and friendly deer roam the park grounds. From there, check out Horyu-ji Buddhist Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and its ancient wooden pagoda, one of the world's oldest structures. Lunch is included. Later you'll continue to Osaka, arriving in the evening, then visit Dotonbori, a busy nightlife district with lots of activity and energy.

- Day 7
Osaka to Okayama
Starting early, you'll travel to Himeji to see its large castle complex with traditional Japanese architecture and admission included. After lunch at a local spot, head to Okayama where you'll visit Korakuen, one of Japan's most beautiful gardens featuring lakes, waterfalls, and tea houses. Cross a bridge over the river to reach Okayama Castle, rebuilt in 1966, and then you'll have free time to explore this provincial capital of over 700,000 people.

- Day 8
Okayama to Hiroshima
You'll go to Kurashiki first, a city with a well-preserved historic center great for wandering through charming streets. Then continue to Hiroshima to visit Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and the Peace Memorial Museum. Take a ferry to Miyajima Island to see the famous Itsukushima Shrine dedicated to the guardian of the seas, built partially over water. Explore the shrine and town, grab lunch, then return to your hotel in Hiroshima. Dinner is included.

After breakfast, you'll transfer to the station and take the bullet train to Tokyo. The four-hour journey covers 800 kilometers, and you'll arrive in Tokyo around 2:00 pm.
