- Day 2
Palermo - Monreale
Start the morning heading to Monreale to see the Arab-Norman Cathedral with its golden Byzantine mosaics and peaceful cloister. From there, return to Palermo for the afternoon and walk through the Cathedral, Church of La Martorana, Palatine Chapel, Teatro Massimo, and Piazza Pretoria. You'll notice how Arab, Norman, and Baroque styles all blend together in the city's architecture.

Palermo - Cefalù - Catania
Leave early for Cefalu, a coastal village with a Norman Cathedral and winding medieval streets worth walking through. After exploring there, continue on to Catania and check out Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Agata, Piazza Universita, Via dei Crociferi, and San Benedetto Monastery. Before reaching your hotel, stop for a traditional Sicilian granita to cool off.

Catania - Mount Etna - Taormina
Begin at Catania's busy fish market early in the day, then head out to Mount Etna. You'll reach Rifugio Sapienza where you can explore the Silvestri Craters and take in the views across the landscape. Later, drive to Taormina and visit the Greek-Roman Theatre, then walk around the elegant streets with their views overlooking the sea.

- Day 6
Catania - Syracuse - Noto - Ragusa
Travel to Syracuse and spend time at the Neapolis Archaeological Park seeing the Greek Theatre, Roman Amphitheatre, and Ear of Dionysius. Then head to Ortigia to see Piazza del Duomo, the Cathedral, and Fountain of Arethusa. In the afternoon, continue to Noto to see its baroque architecture and UNESCO heritage center before arriving in Ragusa for the night.

Ragusa - Modica - Piazza Armerina - Agrigento
Explore Ragusa Ibla with its remarkable baroque character and narrow streets. From there, continue to Modica and try the area's famous traditional chocolate. Then travel to Piazza Armerina to visit Villa Romana del Casale, which has extensive and well-preserved Roman mosaics throughout. Finish the day by heading to Agrigento.

Start at the Valley of the Temples and see the Temple of Juno, Temple of Concordia, and Temple of Hercules spread across the landscape. Later, head to Marsala and visit historic wine cellars where you'll have a tasting. Follow the Salt Route to see the Stagnone lagoon and ancient salt flats, then make your way back to Palermo.
