It's a great spot for hiking or taking photos of the geological formations. You'll pass through Erfoud, a town known for its fossil deposits and date palm groves, then drive on to Merzouga by late afternoon. Once you arrive, you'll head out on camel for a trek into the Sahara, watching the sun go down over the Erg Chebbi dunes. You'll spend the night in a traditional Berber camp in the desert.
