Itinerary
- Day 1
Port Moresby to Kavieng
You'll arrive at Port Moresby Airport and clear customs, then head to the domestic terminal for your included flight to Kavieng with a stopover in Rabaul. There's time to relax in the Executive Lounge before boarding. Once you land in Kavieng, you'll be transferred to the wharf for a short banana boat ride to Nusa Island Retreat. After checking into your premium bungalow, settle in for the evening with a buffet dinner featuring fresh seafood.

- Day 2
Kavieng
Start by watching the sunrise over Kavieng Harbour and then have a fresh à la carte breakfast. The morning involves a half-day fishing excursion targeting pelagic species like Yellow-Fin Tuna. After lunch back at the resort, you'll take a guided tour of Nusa Lik and Nusa Lavu islands, checking out local villages, the Panaconda Craft Market, and exploring WWII anti-aircraft guns and a natural blowhole. Return to catch the sunset and have dinner.

Kavieng
Eat breakfast early, then take a 5-minute boat ride to Kavieng Markets for a guided tour of fresh produce and local goods including mud crabs. Head back to the resort and board a boat for Nago Island, just a 10-minute ride with pristine white sand and turquoise waters. You'll spend the day relaxing with a prepared picnic lunch and optional golf at the makeshift course. Late afternoon brings a relaxing sunset cruise around the outer islands before you return to Nusa for your final dinner.

Kavieng to Rubio
After breakfast, pack up and check out by 9am. You'll travel down the Boluminski Highway with stops at a freshwater eel farm where you can feed and hold giant eels, a freshwater swimming hole for a dip, and Dalom Village. The drive aims to reach Rubio Plantation Resort by late afternoon. Check in to your room and enjoy dinner, perhaps trying some of the resort's signature chocolate desserts made on site.

Rubio
Rise early for breakfast by the beach before exploring chocolate production at Rubio Plantation Resort. Walk through the cocoa plantation to learn the farm-to-table process, see chocolate making firsthand, and sample the products. Drive one hour to Komolabur Village on the west coast to experience traditional shark calling with a master caller. You'll learn the deep cultural and spiritual significance of this ritual without actual shark catching. Have a packed lunch in the village, then return to Rubio for a traditional mumu dinner with food cooked underground on hot rocks.

Rubio to Kokopo
Check out of Rubio early and head to the west coast for a ferry across to East New Britain. The approximately 1.5-hour journey is aboard a covered 40-seat vessel. Upon arrival, transfer to your accommodation for check-in. Have lunch at leisure, then take a private transfer for a tour of Kokopo town, which grew rapidly after Mt. Tavurur erupted in 1994 and many residents relocated from Rabaul. Return late afternoon to watch the sunset over Blanche Bay and enjoy dinner on the over-water balcony.

Kokopo
Rise early and head to the Rabaul Historical Tour. You'll discover significant historical sites including Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto's bunker, the Japanese underground tunnels and submarine base carved into volcanic rock, and the historic Niugini Club from the colonial era. Lunch is at the Rabaul Hotel, one of the few structures surviving the 1994 volcanic eruptions. Return mid-afternoon to Kokopo and visit the Kokopo War Museum to explore WWII artifacts. Return to your hotel late afternoon to relax and have dinner.

- Day 8
Kokopo
Begin at sunrise with a boat ride to a nearby dolphin breeding ground where you'll swim with hundreds of Spinner Dolphins. Return to the resort around 8:30am for breakfast before heading to Karavia Village for a guided exploration of WWII Japanese tunnels. These maze-like tunnels go approximately 20 meters deep with three stories including a kitchen and multiple escape routes. Return for lunch, then depart at 4:30pm for an exclusive evening cultural experience featuring the Baining Fire Dance. This ancient ritual performed by the Baining clan uses bamboo instead of traditional drums and is performed exclusively by highly ranked initiated men.

Kokopo to Port Moresby
This is your final day. After breakfast and morning activities, you'll depart from Kokopo with transfers to Rabaul Airport (Tokua) for your flight back to Port Moresby. You'll enjoy Executive Check-In Service and Executive Lounge access for domestic flights. Bid farewell to Papua New Guinea as you depart for Port Moresby with memories of the experiences, pristine nature, and vibrant culture.
