Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Zagora
Head out early from your Marrakech hotel and drive south through the High Atlas Mountains, passing over the Tichka Pass. You'll stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah village that's worth walking around to see the traditional architecture up close. From there, continue to Ouarzazate to check out the Atlas Film Studios, which has been used for various movie productions. The drive through the Draa Valley takes a few hours, but you'll arrive in Zagora by evening. After settling into your desert camp, you'll head out on a camel ride as the sun sets across the sand dunes, then return for a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars.

Zagora to Marrakech
Start your morning with breakfast at the camp, then take another camel ride through the dunes to catch the sunrise over the Sahara. From there, head to Tamgroute, a historic village where you can explore an ancient Quranic library and walk through local pottery workshops to see artisans at work. After that, you'll begin the journey back toward Marrakech, traveling through the Atlas Mountains on the way home. You'll arrive back in Marrakech by evening, wrapping up your 2-day desert trip.
