- Day 2
Lisbon
Today you're taking a guided tour through Lisbon, walking up and down the seven hills while checking out the charming narrow alleys, iconic tile work, and the Belem neighborhood where Portuguese explorers once departed for their voyages. In the afternoon, you have free time to wander around Bairro Alto and visit its viewpoint, or you can choose an optional excursion to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril. From Restauradores Square, you'll head back to your hotel.

- Day 3
Lisbon - Cáceres - Madrid
You're leaving Portugal early in the morning and driving through the Alentejo region toward Spain. First stop is Estremoz, a medieval town with a castle and cobblestone streets worth exploring. Then you'll continue to Caceres for lunch and a walk through its well-preserved medieval and Renaissance old town. Later this evening you'll arrive in Madrid at Plaza Mayor.

- Day 4
Madrid
You'll take a full tour of central Madrid starting with Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, Puerta de Alcala, Plaza de Colon, and Plaza Mayor. After that, you head to Retiro Park to see the lake and Palacio de Cristal. You'll also visit Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home of Real Madrid. The afternoon is free for you to do as you like, and then you'll transfer back to your hotel in the evening.

You're traveling through Castile toward Aragon today. You'll stop in Zaragoza to see the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, then continue to Poblet Abbey, one of the world's best-preserved medieval monasteries. By evening you'll arrive in Barcelona.

- Day 6
Barcelona - Girona
Barcelona is your focus today. You'll take a tour of the city, learning about Gaudí's modernist architecture, walking down the Ramblas, and hearing about the Universal Exposition and Olympics held here. Later in the evening you'll leave Barcelona and head north into Catalonia, stopping in Girona for a walk through the historic center with its colorful houses, the old Jewish quarter, and the cathedral.

Girona - Arles - Chambéry
You're heading into France through Provence today. First you'll stop in Arles, a UNESCO World Heritage city associated with Van Gogh, where you'll see the Roman theater and Romanesque churches with time to grab lunch. Then comes Carrieres des Lumieres, an underground art experience in an ancient quarry with light displays and sound. You'll arrive in Chambery, the medieval capital of Savoy with a historic center and large castle.

You're heading to Switzerland and arriving in Geneva. You'll see Palais des Nations, the English Garden with its flower clock, and the Jet d'Eau fountain. From there you'll stop in Gruyeres, the famous cheese village, and visit the Maison Cailler Chocolate Factory to try some chocolates. After that, you'll see Chillon Castle on Lake Geneva shores. You'll end your day in Leysin, a holiday village with views of the Rhone Valley and Mont Blanc. Dinner is included.

Leysin - Glacier 3000 - Interlaken - Lucerne - Zurich
Today features mountain scenery. You'll take a cable car up to Glacier 3000, one of Switzerland's most spectacular locations with ice and snow year-round. You can walk the suspended bridge between peaks, explore the Ice Cathedral, or enjoy the Fun Park. You'll stop in Interlaken for lunch, then travel to Lucerne, one of Switzerland's most beautiful cities. By evening you'll arrive in Zurich with time to walk around the center.

You're leaving Zurich early and crossing the Alps into Italian-speaking Switzerland. In Bellinzona you'll see three UNESCO World Heritage medieval castles on hills and wander the charming streets. After crossing into Italy, you'll stop in Como for lunch, a lakeside town with beautiful gardens and a spectacular cathedral. You'll continue to Milan where your guide points out Piazza del Duomo, then you'll have time to explore before heading to your hotel.

You're traveling to Pisa today. You'll ride a small tourist train to Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) to see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and other art structures in the complex. Then you'll head to Rome, arriving later in the day.

- Day 12
Rome
You'll start with a three-hour guided tour that combines walking through Imperial Rome with a bus ride. You'll see the Arch of Constantine, Colosseum exterior, Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo. The tour ends at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m. where your guide can arrange an optional visit to Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Later you'll transfer to Trastevere neighborhood known for cozy restaurants and lively atmosphere, returning to your hotel around 8:30 p.m.

You're heading north from Rome through beautiful landscapes to Florence. When you arrive, you'll go to Piazzale Michelangelo for city views. Then you'll walk toward the historic center with time for lunch, followed by a guided walking tour through Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. The afternoon is free for you to explore on your own, and you'll have plenty of dinner options available with various international cuisines.

You're crossing the Apennines today with mountain landscapes all around. Upon arriving in Venice, you'll take a boat across the Giudecca Canal to the Island of Venice. A local guide will help you explore St. Mark's Square. You'll also tour the Murano Glass Factory to see how artisans create this ancient glass. You'll have free time to explore on your own, and your accommodation is in the Mestre district.

An included boat cruise takes you past four castles on the lake before you disembark in Gmunden. You'll continue to Vienna, arriving in the evening.

You'll have free time after the tour, and an optional Magyar show with dinner is available in the evening.
