Ribadeo
You'll arrive in Ribadeo and get settled into this quiet coastal town. Spend some time walking around the harbor to see the colorful boats and feel the salty sea breeze, which gives you a nice sense of what's coming on the Camino.

Ribadeo to Mondoñedo
Today starts with a hike from Ribadeo heading inland into Galicia, leaving the coast for rural, hilly paths. The toughest part comes when you tackle a steep 260-meter climb over 5 kilometers before reaching Gondán. After that, a cab takes you to Mondoñedo for the night.

Gondán to Mondoñedo
A cab brings you back to Gondán to begin a relatively straightforward stage with nice views along the way. You'll pass through Vilanova de Lourenza and check out the old monastery church there, then head to Mondoñedo, a medieval town with a beautiful cathedral and historic center.

Mondoñedo to Abadín
Today you climb from the coastal A Mariña region up to Terra Chá, the high plateau of Lugo, gaining elevation from 140 to 560 meters through rolling hills and farmland. The route takes you through Lousada with its historic lime kilns, then A Xesta and Gontán before arriving in Abadín.

Abadín to Vilalba
This is a pleasant stage with little elevation change as you hike through green meadows and native forests in the Terra Chá region, which is part of a UNESCO biosphere reserve. The landscape rolls gently with livestock farming throughout, leading you to Vilalba, a town with medieval heritage.

Vilalba to Baamonde

Baamonde to Reguelas
You have two route options today, both taking you along dirt and asphalt roads through quiet agricultural landscape with livestock farming. No matter which path you choose, a transport service will bring you back to your accommodation in Reguelas by evening.

Arzúa to A Rúa

You'll re-enter the modern world passing the airport, highway, railroad, and city ring road, but your focus stays on Plaza del Obradoiro. Following tradition, you'll pause at Monte do Gozo to see Santiago for the first time and refresh yourself at the Lavacolla spring before reaching this holy destination.
