You'll arrive in Monsaraz, the medieval village perched on a hilltop, and get settled into your accommodation. After getting familiar with your bike and route, you head out to check out the megalithic monuments around Xerez. Later in the evening, you walk through the walled streets, visit the historic castle, and grab dinner at a local restaurant serving traditional Portuguese food. 200 characters

Starting out on a scenic gravel bike ride through Alentejo, you'll cycle along canals and rice fields where storks are common, then move through rolling hills covered with cork oak forests and olive groves. The route takes you past quiet country roads with spring flowers and vineyards before the terrain gets more rugged with dramatic valleys. By evening you reach Cercal, surrounded by lush valleys and peaceful countryside. 200 characters

Cercal to Évora
You cycle through central Alentejo toward Arraiolos, known for its hand-embroidered wool carpets, then tackle a challenging climb to the castle on the hilltop and experience the thrilling descent through the countryside after. From there you continue on gravel roads through rolling hills and open fields to Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city with 2,000 years of history. Heading south toward the Algarve region's coastal areas, you cycle to Odeceixe, a village on the border between Alentejo and Algarve with a horseshoe-shaped beach where the Aljezur River reaches the sea. The route continues along cliff views and through Portuguese villages, passing through coastal scenery before you arrive in Chabouco. The terrain transitions from inland riding to dramatic coastal landscape as you move south. 200 characters
