Monsaraz
Your guide will meet you at Lisbon airport and drive you to Monsaraz, where you'll get settled in for the night. After dropping your bags, spend the rest of the day walking around town at your own pace and getting a feel for the place. Dinner here kicks off your time in the Alentejo region.

- Day 2
Monsaraz - Corval - Xerez
Today starts your cycling adventure on a circular route through Alentejo's cultural and historical sites. You'll head toward Corval, a village with 4,000 years of history behind it, then ride through Santo António do Baldio to reach Cromeleque do Xerez with its 50 granite menhirs standing as a remarkable megalithic monument. This ride covers about 40 km with 400 m of elevation gain.

Monsaraz to Northern Destination
From Monsaraz, you'll cycle north on a more challenging route today. The first half of the ride is fairly flat, but starting around kilometer 32, the terrain begins climbing steadily to your destination. Along the way, you'll pass through typical Alentejo landscape with olive and cork oak plantations spread across the hillsides. Expect about 57 km total with 700 m of elevation gain.

Vila Viçosa Valley - Borba Serra
Today focuses on the region's wine and cheese traditions. You can make an optional stop at Vila Viçosa Castle in the city center before cycling through the Viçoso Valley in the Serra de Borba. At kilometer 12, stop by Quinta do Zambujeiro for wine tasting, or if that doesn't work with your pace, there's Quinta da Pinheira at kilometer 36 as an alternative. The route covers around 51 km with 500 m of elevation gain.

Évora
You'll cycle to Évora, Portugal's most important Roman city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once there, check out Giraldo Square at the heart of the city, see the Roman temple and fountain, and walk along the medieval city walls. Wandering through the narrow streets gives you a sense of what life looked like here thousands of years ago. This day's ride is approximately 61 km with 500 m of elevation gain.

- Day 6
Évora to Arraiolos
Your final cycling day takes you north to Arraiolos, a small village beyond Évora. On the way there or back, stop at Fitapreta Vinhos for wine tasting. Once in the village, try some traditional dishes, then head back to your hotel to relax by the pool and recover from the week's riding. This last route covers about 48 km with 300 m of elevation gain.
