Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi
After landing, your driver picks you up and heads to the Hoan Kiem district where you'll check into your hotel (rooms from 14:00). Then you can wander around the old town on your own before meeting your tour guide at 17:00 in the lobby for a briefing. If you're interested, there's an optional street food tour in the evening where you can try local specialties like Banh Cuon, Bun Bo Nam Bo, Banh Mi, and Bia Hoi.

Hanoi
Starting at 09:00, you'll walk through the old town's famous '36 streets' and check out markets, hidden pagodas, and small alleys. You'll see colonial buildings like St. Joseph Cathedral and the Hanoi Opera House, then stroll along Hoan Kiem Lake for a coffee break. For lunch, pick a restaurant from the app or follow the 'Bun Cha, Caramen & Coffee' route with three dining spots within 200 meters of each other.

Hanoi to Tam Coc (Ninh Binh)
You'll depart Hanoi at 08:30 and drive to Tam Coc in Ninh Binh, known as 'Halong Bay on land'. After dropping your luggage at the hotel, you'll pick up a mountain bike and start riding on small paths through the region. The route takes you past Bich Dong Pagoda with karst mountains and rice fields around you. The app shows you suggested rowing boat tours and other stops like Thai Vi Temple and Hang Mua viewpoint. After you're done riding, your driver picks you up from the bike store and brings you back to the hotel.

Tam Coc to Halong Bay
You'll reach Halong around midday and board a cruise through the bay with its 1,900 islands and rocky islets. Freshly caught seafood is served for lunch and dinner on board. Later in the evening, there's an optional night fishing trip if you'd like to join.

Halong Bay to Hue
Early morning, you can watch the sunrise over Halong Bay's aquamarine waters (depending on the season). The cruise continues around the bay until you disembark late morning. From there, you'll drive back to Hanoi and head to the airport to fly to Hue.

Hue
Your mountain bike is delivered to your hotel at 08:00. Following the app, you'll cross the Perfume River and cycle past the Imperial Citadel to Kim Long village with its garden houses built by fengshui principles. Then you'll visit the Temple of Literature, a famous Confucian temple on the riverbank, and cycle along the Perfume River to see Thien Mu Pagoda with its monks' buildings, bell tower, and seven-storey pagoda. After grabbing lunch along the way, spend the afternoon exploring the Imperial Citadel at your own pace. Your bikes get collected at 18:00.

Hue to Hoi An
At 08:30 your driver picks you up in Hue and you'll travel to Hoi An, passing through Hai Van Pass with its bay views. Once you arrive, the rest of the day is yours to explore the old town either by cab or on basic hotel bicycles. The app has tips on where to park bikes, local food spots, and terraces for drinks. You can also buy Hoi An Old Town Tickets to go inside historic shops, community houses, and the Japanese Bridge.

Your mountain bike arrives at 08:00. Ride through the old town in the morning and then head into the countryside past rice fields and rarely visited villages. You'll see fishermen working on the river and pass abandoned brick kilns, stopping at recommended coffee spots along the way. A narrow path takes you to a fishing village with colorful boats and fishing nets, then you'll cycle back to Hoi An via the Cua Dai Bridge with countryside views. The afternoon is free to relax, and your bikes get collected at 18:00.

Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
You'll fly to Ho Chi Minh City today (flight ticket not included). After you arrive, explore the former French colonial city at your own pace. Check out the Old Post Office from the French Indochina period, see Notre Dame Cathedral from outside, walk through Chinatown Cholon, and head to Ben Thanh Market for shoes, accessories, jewelry, handicrafts, flowers, spices, foods, and restaurants.
