- Day 1
Paro
Your guide will meet you at Paro International Airport and take you to Bird's Eye View Point, where you'll see panoramic views of the airport, Paro Dzong, and Ta Dzong below. After checking into your hotel, you'll have time to rest and adjust to the altitude. The hotel provides complimentary experiences like trying on traditional Bhutanese dress and a bottle of red rice wine to welcome you to the country.

- Day 2
Paro
From Paro City, you'll drive to Tiger's Nest Monastery trailhead and begin the hike up to this iconic monastery perched 900 meters above the valley at 3,120m altitude. The walk takes about 2.5 hours one-way, and your guide will support you if altitude affects you. After descending, you'll visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of 108 Buddhist temples built in the 7th century, where you can see the revered 8-year-old Shakyamuni Buddha statue.

Paro to Thimphu
You'll drive 72 kilometers to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital, taking about 2.5 hours and crossing the Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge along the way. In the capital, you'll visit Buddha Dordenma Statue at Buddha Point, then head to the National Memorial Chorten, the most visited landmark in the city. The Royal Takin Preserve and Tashichho Dzong are also on your agenda, followed by traditional Bhutanese dinner at Folk Heritage Museum Restaurant before returning to your hotel.

- Day 4
Thimphu to Punakha
The drive to Punakha covers 74 kilometers over about 2.5 hours, passing through Dochula Pass where you'll see 108 memorial chortens honoring fallen soldiers and possibly snow-covered Himalayan peaks. You'll visit Chimi Lhakhang, the Fertility Temple, where phallic symbols decorate the space and you can find unique handicraft souvenirs. The day ends at Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan's most beautiful fortresses, standing at the confluence of two rivers.

Punakha
Early in the day you'll hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, crossing a suspension bridge and walking for 45 minutes to reach it. After lunch, you'll head to the Punakha Suspension Bridge, which stretches 160 meters and offers views of the Punakha Valley and Po Chu River. Later you'll explore Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery with its distinctive white stupa and approximately 120 resident nuns.

Punakha to Paro
The drive back to Paro takes 115 kilometers, about 2.5 hours from Punakha. In the afternoon, you'll revisit Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge, then move on to Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong), which you'll reach by crossing a traditional wooden cantilever bridge. You'll also spend time at the National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong), Bhutan's tallest building, to see its rich collection of ancient artifacts.

Your guide will collect you from the hotel this morning for the final drive to Paro International Airport, about 50 kilometers away and taking around 1.5 hours. You'll depart with memories of your time in the Himalayas and all the temples, fortresses, and mountain views you've experienced throughout the trip.
