Basel
Your river cruise starts in Basel, where you'll board the AMADEUS and settle into your cabin. There's a Welcome Cocktail and dinner to kick things off, then the ship departs at 5:00pm. This evening gives you a chance to meet fellow passengers and get comfortable on the vessel.

Strasbourg
You'll wake up in Strasbourg and have the morning to explore on your own or join an organized tour of the old town. After lunch, head out along the wine route into the countryside to visit charming villages where wine gets produced. Later tonight, the ship continues toward Germany, so you'll see it leave while you're back onboard.

Speyer - Mannheim
Speyer appears on the horizon before breakfast, giving you time to walk through this historic Holy Roman Empire city and see the imperial cathedral. You can learn about the Speyer Brezel at your own pace or on a tour. By lunchtime, the ship heads to Mannheim, and there's an optional trip to Heidelberg if you want to see the Baroque old town. Late in the evening, you'll continue to Rüdesheim.

Rüdesheim - Koblenz
The morning in Rüdesheim lets you choose between visiting the Mechanical Music Cabinet Museum on a guided tour or heading to a vineyard for wine tasting and walking Drosselgasse. At lunchtime, you'll cruise through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley and spot the legendary Lorelei Rock from the ship. By afternoon, you arrive in Koblenz, where you can explore the pedestrian area or take the cable car up to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.

Cochem
The ship leaves early and takes a detour up the Moselle River to reach Cochem, a small town with Reichsburg castle looming above it. You'll walk through narrow streets lined with half-timbered houses, try local wines, and grab lunch at neighborhood restaurants. Later, you return to the ship for dinner as it heads toward Cologne.

Cologne takes up most of your morning and you'll find it's a vibrant city with over a million people and plenty to see. Join a walking tour through the gothic old town and visit the iconic Cologne Cathedral. There's also a chance to try Kölsch beer, the local specialty. After lunch, the ship departs for an afternoon of cruising.

You arrive in Amsterdam by breakfast time and the city is all yours to explore. Take an optional canal boat tour or head to the Waterland region to see Volendam and Edam, where there's a Dutch cheese tasting. This evening brings a festive Gala Dinner hosted by the Captain, followed by a Shanty Choir performance. The ship stays overnight in Amsterdam.
