Darwin
You'll arrive in Darwin and have time to get oriented at your own pace. The city has plenty of character, and the sunsets are genuinely impressive here. Later this evening, you'll have drinks and dinner with your Travel Director and the rest of the group to kick things off for the 11-day trip ahead.

Darwin
A guided city tour takes you through Darwin's history, covering everything from wartime events to natural disasters that shaped the place. You'll check out East Point Military Reserve and the Museum and Art Gallery Northern Territory. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to decide, so you could head to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Tourist Facility or make your way to Mindil Beach Sunset Market where there are over 200 stalls and good views as the sun goes down.

Darwin to Kakadu
Your morning involves a cultural tour with Pudakul, an Aboriginal-owned family business that works on Aboriginal-owned land at Limilngan-Wulna. You'll learn about First Nations heritage through art, music, and bush tucker experiences. From there, you'll travel to Kakadu, a World Heritage national park and one of Australia's most important living ecosystems.

Kakadu
There's an optional scenic flight over Kakadu's 20,000 square kilometres if you want to see the scale of the park from the air. Later you'll explore the landscape to see ancient Aboriginal rock art. You'll also take a cruise on Yellow Water Billabong with a local guide looking for saltwater crocodiles and other wildlife (75°F/24°C to 95°F/35°C depending on season).

Kakadu to Tennant Creek
You'll visit Elsey Homestead, the location from the 1982 film We of the Never Never, which is now known for Mataranka thermal hot springs. It's a nice spot to soak in the warm water surrounded by palms. Next, you'll stop at Daly Waters Pub, Australia's original outback pub where visitors traditionally leave their mark on the walls. By evening, you'll arrive in Tennant Creek.

Tennant Creek to Alice Springs
The drive along the Stuart Highway covers about 2,700 kilometres of long, straight road. During this stretch, you'll see Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles) appear on the horizon, granite boulders that are sacred to the Aboriginal community. You'll reach Alice Springs and climb Anzac Hill for panoramic views where the East and West MacDonnell Ranges are visible stretching out in both directions.

Alice Springs
You'll spend time at Alice Springs Desert Park checking out the native plants and wildlife of the region. The Arrernte people, traditional owners of the park, share their local knowledge here. After that, you'll visit the historic Telegraph Station that led to the town's founding, then head to the School of the Air to learn how remote education works out here.

Alice Springs to Uluru
The day focuses on Aboriginal spiritual culture and Uluru. You'll learn about the creation stories connected to the rock, and then experience sunset when the changing light makes the desert colors shift dramatically. There's sparkling wine and nibbles included. If you want to extend things, there's an option for an exclusive barbecue dinner under the stars.

Landmarks/POIs Uluru - Day 9
Uluru
You'll wake early to see sunrise over Uluru, which is a genuine spiritual experience with the light gradually illuminating the landscape. A guided tour takes you around the base of Uluru so you understand why it's so important to the Anangu people who have lived here for thousands of years. The afternoon is free to relax at the resort pool or opt for a scenic helicopter flight. Your Farewell Dinner happens this evening.
