Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport where your local guide meets you for the hotel transfer. After checking in, the afternoon is yours to explore Thamel district on your own, walking through handicraft shops and spice stalls or grabbing coffee at one of the cafés. Later in the evening, there's a brief orientation briefing to go over your itinerary.

- Day 2
Kathmandu City Tour
Start with breakfast, then head out to explore Kathmandu's spiritual sites. You'll climb the steps at Swayambhunath to take in the valley views, followed by a visit to Pashupatinath Temple along the Bagmati River. The afternoon brings you to Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dinner happens at a nearby café to wrap up the day.

Kathmandu to Nagarkot
After breakfast, you'll drive to Nagarkot, stopping at Changunarayan Temple first to see its 5th-century stone carvings. This is Nepal's oldest Hindu temple and worth taking time to walk through. Then continue up to Nagarkot itself, check into your hotel, and spend the evening enjoying mountain views from your room or the hotel grounds.

- Day 4
Nagarkot to Bhaktapur to Kathmandu
Set your alarm early to catch the Himalayan sunrise from Nagarkot's viewpoint, where you might see Mount Everest on a clear day. After breakfast, you'll drive to Bhaktapur, an ancient Newar city where brick-paved streets and traditional architecture transport you back centuries. Walk through Bhaktapur Durbar Square, check out Pottery Square, and see the Peacock Window before heading back to Kathmandu late afternoon.

Kathmandu to Pokhara
You'll board a scenic flight to Pokhara with beautiful aerial views the whole way. Upon landing, take a relaxing boat ride on Phewa Lake, including a visit to the small island shrine of Tal Barahi Temple. The rest of your afternoon is free to stroll the lakeside promenade lined with cafés, shops, and gear stores at your own pace.

- Day 6
Pokhara Exploration
Head out early to Sarangkot to watch the sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After breakfast, you'll see Davis Falls where a stream drops underground, then explore Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a sacred Hindu temple. Next comes Bindhyabasini Temple, one of Pokhara's oldest shrines, and you'll finish at the International Mountain Museum learning about Himalayan mountaineering.

Pokhara to Chitwan
You'll drive to Chitwan National Park and check into your jungle lodge in time for lunch. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its wildlife. In the evening, attend a Tharu cultural dance performance to learn about the indigenous Tharu community's traditions and way of life.

Chitwan Wildlife Safari
Start early for a morning jeep safari into Chitwan searching for one-horned rhinoceroses, sambar deer, wild boars, monkeys, and over 500 bird species. You might spot a Bengal tiger if you're lucky. Later, take a canoe ride along the Rapti River to see marsh mugger crocodiles and water birds. The afternoon includes a guided jungle walk learning about local flora and fauna.

Chitwan to Kathmandu

- Day 10
Kathmandu to Paro
A scenic Himalayan flight takes you to Paro with aerial views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, and other high peaks. Upon arrival, visit the National Museum of Bhutan in a 17th-century watchtower, then see Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery with valley views. Later, walk through Paro's main street in the evening to get oriented.

Paro to Taktsang Monastery
Set out early for the hike to Taktsang Monastery, dramatically perched 900 meters above the Paro Valley. The trek takes about 4 to 5 hours round trip with scenic rest stops along the way. You'll learn about Guru Rinpoche, who meditated here in the 8th century. Return to Paro and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Paro to Thimphu
You'll drive to Thimphu, stopping at the Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge, a 15th-century suspension bridge built by Tibetan saint Thangtong Gyalpo. Once in Thimphu, visit Buddha Dordenma, a massive golden statue overlooking the city, and Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to Bhutan's third king.

Thimphu
Explore Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan's government and monastic body. Finish by browsing the local craft bazaar for handmade souvenirs.

Thimphu to Punakha
Depart for Punakha via Dochula Pass at 3,100 meters, where 108 memorial chortens stand against a backdrop of Himalayan peaks. When you arrive in Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan's most beautiful dzongs, and walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the country's longest.

Punakha to Paro
