Arrival in Switzerland
You'll arrive in Zurich or Basel and board your suite ship by 5 pm. After getting settled into your cabin, head to dinner on board and take some time to walk around the ship. Later this evening, the ship departs for Breisach as you begin your Rhine river cruise.

German Winemaking and the Black Forest
Today brings choices depending on what interests you. If you prefer active travel, there's a relaxing bike ride along the Rhine. For a more guided experience, you can do a full-day Black Forest tour visiting the Vogtsbauernhof open-air museum, a water mill, and a butter-making demonstration. Alternatively, explore Freiburg's medieval center with its vineyards and gardens. An optional morning trip to Colmar with its half-timbered buildings is also available if you want to add more to your day.

If you prefer a slower pace, spend free time visiting museums or walking through the city center on your own.

Walk the Philosophers' Way with an Adventure Host, take a guided tour to Heidelberg Castle to see the renaissance ruins and famous large wine barrel, or do a city walk in Mainz including the Gutenberg Museum. After your activities, sail to Rudesheim. This evening, there's live entertainment on board after dinner.
