Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakesh
This morning you'll head out from Marrakesh to Lalla Takerkoust reservoir where the light's perfect for photos across the water. After that, you're going to the mausoleum of Moulay Brahim where you'll sit down and have tea with a local Berber family. While you're there, you can check out the traditional hammams and bread ovens that show how people have lived in these areas for generations. Then it's into Toubkal National Park toward the Berber village of Asni, and from there you'll make your way into the Ourika Valley. By lunchtime you'll find yourself at a riverside café with nice views of the water where you can grab a meal and rest a bit. After lunch, you have some choices depending on how much energy you have left. There's an optional trek up to the seven waterfalls at Setti Fatma if you want to push further, or you can do additional hiking in the hills nearby. Either way, you'll head back to Marrakesh by evening.
