Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Zagora
Leave your Marrakech hotel and head into the High Atlas mountains, passing through Tizi n'Tichka Pass on the way. Once you reach Ouarzazate, you'll stop at the impressive Kasbah of Taourirte to walk through its historic rooms and courtyards. From there, continue south through the Anti Atlas mountains into Draa Valley, then on to Zagora. Later in the afternoon, you'll ride a camel out to the Mhamid desert dunes and wait for sunset across the sand. After that, settle into a traditional Berber tent where you'll spend the night.

Zagora to Marrakech
Start early with sunrise at the Erg Lihoudi dunes and grab breakfast there. Next, head to Tamgroute village to check out the old library, Koranic school, and the potters' quarter where local artisans work. Spend time driving through Draa Valley, which has date palm groves and henna fields throughout. Later, cross back over the Anti Atlas mountains and explore the fortified Ksar of Ait Benhaddou with its traditional clay architecture. From there, travel through Ounila Valley (known as the valley of salt) and over the High Atlas mountains before returning to your Marrakech hotel by evening.
