- Day 1NairobiYou'll land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where a Classic Journeys Africa representative meets you for the drive to Tamarind Tree Hotel. Before you settle in, there's a briefing about your safari program and you'll get to know your driver-guide who'll be with you the whole trip. - Meals

- Day 2Nairobi to Samburu (Shaba National Reserve)After breakfast, head north toward Shaba National Reserve in the Samburu region, the location where 'Born Free' was filmed. You'll arrive at Sarova Shaba Lodge in time for lunch, then get out on your first game drive that afternoon to look for elephants, lions, and other wildlife. Back at the lodge, you can relax before dinner with views over the Ewaso Nyiro River. - Meals

- Day 3Samburu (Shaba National Reserve)This is a full day in Shaba National Reserve. You'll search for large elephant herds, lions, leopards, cheetahs, Grevy's zebras, Beisa Oryx, and wild dogs throughout the day. The reserve has around 100 bird species including the rare blue-shanked Somali ostrich. All your meals happen at the lodge. - Meals

- Day 4Samburu to Ol Pejeta ConservancyHead to the privately-owned Ol Pejeta Conservancy and check into your tented camp with Mt. Kenya views, arriving in time for lunch. That afternoon, go on a game drive looking for the Big Five, then watch wildlife at the floodlit waterhole by camp. You can also join a night drive, nature walk, or rhino patrol with rangers, plus visit the 200-acre chimpanzee sanctuary on the property. - Meals

- Day 5Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Lake NakuruAfter breakfast, drive south to Lake Nakuru, which hosts over one million flamingos. You'll get to Sarova Lionhill Lodge in time for lunch with views of the pink flamingo-covered shoreline. The afternoon brings a safari in Kenya's first and largest rhino sanctuary where you'll likely see black and white rhinos, with good chances for leopards, lions, hippos, and Rothschild's giraffes too. - Meals

- Day 6Lake Nakuru to Masai MaraDrive to Masai Mara National Reserve after breakfast, arriving at Mara Sarova Camp for lunch. The backdrop here is the annual migration of over one million wildebeest. Your first afternoon on safari shows why this is Kenya's most visited reserve. Evening means time for a swim, shower, and dinner at the camp restaurant. - Meals

- Day 7Masai MaraSpend the full day doing safari in Masai Mara. You'll look for the largest lion prides and elephant herds, plus leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, hippos, and Nile crocodiles in the Mara River. The area also has giraffes, gazelles, zebras, buffalo, and over 550 bird species. By evening, there's Masai dance and cultural performances back at camp. - Meals

- Day 8Masai Mara to NairobiLeave the Masai Mara after breakfast and drive back toward Nairobi through the Great Rift Valley. You'll pass the dormant volcano Mount Longonot and lakes Elementeita and Naivasha, watching for giraffes and gazelles as you climb the escarpment. Arrive in Nairobi by early afternoon for last-minute shopping, then grab lunch at Carnivore Restaurant known for charcoal grilled barbeque before your transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home. - Meals
