You'll arrive in Denver and get settled in this mile-high city. It's the perfect starting point before heading into Utah's national parks. Spend the rest of your day getting oriented and preparing for the week ahead in the Southwest.

Denver to Grand Junction
The drive takes you through the Rocky Mountains toward Grand Junction. You'll pass Glenwood Canyon, where the Colorado River carved through rock over millions of years. Later, you'll join the group for dinner at a family-owned vineyard in Colorado wine country and do a wine tasting there.

Grand Junction to Moab
Start the morning driving Rim Rock Drive through Colorado National Monument to see the rock formations and canyon views. After that, head toward Utah using the Upper Colorado Byway, also called River Road locally. You'll pass Fisher Towers and dramatic mesas as you make your way to Moab, Utah's outdoor hub.

Moab
Two national parks in one day keeps things moving. First, you'll hike through Arches National Park and see the red rock features up close. From there, head to Canyonlands National Park for Island in the Sky and its panoramic views of mesas and valleys. The day ends at Dead Horse Point State Park, where you get views from high sandstone cliffs.

Moab to Bryce
Drive through Utah's desert on Scenic Byway 24 and stop at Capitol Reef National Park to see its distinctive curved white walls and geology. Then take the Million Dollar Road for views of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument's layered red and orange rock formations. You'll settle in Bryce for the night.

Bryce Canyon
Spend your day in Bryce Canyon National Park checking out the hoodoos, those tall rock formations that look like fairy chimneys. Start with a hike to see them up close, then walk the Sunset Point and Sunrise Point Rim Trail for wide-open views. By evening, you'll head to Springdale near Zion National Park.

Zion National Park
This is a full day at Zion National Park exploring the red and white sandstone cliffs. You'll board the open-air tram that winds through Zion Canyon along the Virgin River, which cuts through 2,400 feet of rock. In the afternoon, choose between hiking on your own or visiting the Human History Museum.

Head to Las Vegas and say goodbye to the painted desert landscape. You'll meet up for a farewell lunch with everyone to reflect on the week. The evening is yours to spend exploring the Strip with its neon lights and casinos however you'd like.

Departure
