- Day 1
Lisbon
You'll arrive at Lisbon International Airport and get a complimentary transfer to your hotel. Once you're settled in, your Travel Director will take you to a welcome dinner at a local restaurant where you'll meet the other people on the tour.

- Day 2
Lisbon
A Local Expert will guide you through Lisbon, walking through the Lower Town's tree-shaded squares and the historic Belem Quarter. You'll see the ancient Belem Tower and Monument to the Discoveries, check out the Cloister of Jeronimos Monastery, and try traditional Pastéis de Belem from the patisserie. An optional dinner is available if you want it.

Lisbon to Lagos
You'll cross the River Tagus heading south to Lagos, a charming fishing port on the coast. After walking around town, you'll continue to your resort hotel near Ria Formosa National Park. The area is known for fresh seafood and Portuguese restaurants along the water.

- Day 4
Lagos to Évora
You're heading to Évora, a medieval walled city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the day you'll see the Roman Temple, the Chapel of the Bones (Capela dos Ossos), and the cathedral with its mix of Romanesque and Gothic architecture. The afternoon is yours to wander through Évora's historical centre or visit the city park.

- Day 5
Évora to Monsaraz to Évora
You'll travel to Monsaraz, a white village on a hilltop surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. From there you can see castle ruins and views across to the Spanish plains and Lake Alqueva. A local boat captain will take you on a leisurely cruise, then lunch at restaurant Sem Fim with traditional tapas. You'll return to Évora with the evening free.

Évora to Fátima to Tomar
Start your day with a wine tasting at Casa Relvas, where you'll try Portuguese grape varieties and learn about sustainable water-saving techniques. Then head to Fatima, Portugal's most important pilgrimage site, visiting the basilica or Chapel of the Apparitions. Continue to Tomar where you can choose between a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Convento do Cristo with a Local Expert or a city tour that includes the medieval Synagogue of Tomar.

Tomar to Coimbra to Douro Valley
In Coimbra, a Local Expert will take you through the Old Town including the UNESCO World Heritage University of Coimbra and its impressive baroque library. Later you'll journey through green hills and vineyards along the Douro River, stopping for a farm-to-table lunch made from local ingredients and enjoying a Port wine tasting.

Douro Valley to Guimarães to Porto
You'll travel through mountain ranges to Guimaraes, known as Portugal's birthplace. You'll take in views from the Visigoth castle and walk the cobbled medieval streets. After that, head to Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With your Local Expert, you'll visit the Sao Bento Railway Station with its hand-painted azulejo tilework and cross the Dom Luis I Bridge for views of the river. An optional experience includes exploring the Ribeira district, a traditional Rabelo boat cruise, and dining by the river.

Porto
You have the full day to explore Porto at your own pace. Walk around to see the multi-coloured houses and churches with beautiful glazed tiles. If you want, you can take a trip to Braga, the capital of Baroque architecture, or simply spend your time exploring Porto.

Porto to Óbidos to Lisbon
You'll visit the fortified town of Obidos and step inside the medieval town's ancient walls. Your Travel Director will lead you through the cobblestone streets. Then you'll head back to Lisbon for a farewell dinner with your Travel Director and fellow travellers, toasting the moments you've shared on the tour.
