Itinerary
- Day 1
Whitehorse
You'll arrive in Whitehorse, Yukon and get settled at your hotel. After the transfer from the airport, you'll meet up with your travel group and get oriented to the area and what's coming up over the next week.
- Day 2
Whitehorse to Haines Junction
Head west on the Alaska Highway with stops along the way to take in the scenery. You'll reach Haines Junction by early afternoon, which sits at the foot of Kluane National Park. From there, you can choose between a guided hike into the park, a bush plane flight over the glaciers, or a helicopter excursion if you want something more adventurous.

Haines Junction - Kluane Lake - Soldier Summit
Drive along Kluane Lake's shoreline and stop at Sheep Mountain Visitor Center where you might spot rare snow-white Dall sheep. Later, continue to Soldier Summit to learn about how the Alaska Highway was built and opened back in 1942. The views along this drive are really something.

Soldier Summit to Valdez
Travel south through mountain terrain on the Tok-Cutoff Highway, passing rivers, lakes, and glaciers as you go. You'll pass Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and then head onto Richardson Highway. At Thompson Pass, you'll see dramatic waterfalls before arriving in Valdez, an alpine-framed harbor town where the Trans-Alaska Pipeline ends.

Valdez to Seward
Take a ferry through Prince William Sound, one of Alaska's scenic highlights, where you'll pass glaciers and forested islands. Watch for sea lions, whales, sea otters, and puffins along the way. After landing, visit either Portage Glacier or Byron Glacier near Whittier, then drive through the Chugach Mountains past glacial rivers and lakes to reach Seward. End your evening with a walk along the coast and dinner at a local restaurant.

- Day 6
Seward to Anchorage
Travel from Seward past the Kenai Peninsula and Kenai Mountains, following Turnagain Inlet toward Anchorage. Keep an eye out for white beluga whales in the bay. An optional Kenai Fjords Tour is available if you want to do more exploring. Wrap up the day with dinner at one of Anchorage's restaurants or microbreweries.

Anchorage
Check out Anchorage's attractions like Lake Spenard, the world's largest seaplane base with up to 800 daily landings in summer, and the Aviation Museum with its collection of historic aircraft. You can also take time to relax and shop if you prefer. After that, head to the airport for your departure.
