If you're interested in learning more about local winemaking, the La Bourgogne wine museum offers a solid introduction to Burgundy's wine heritage and production methods. Following the Rhoin River leads you to the ruins of Sainte Marguerite Abbey, which offers a break from vineyard scenery. The return route to Beaune winds through small villages and transitions back into the Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune vineyards, creating a nice mix of forest and farmland.
