Itinerary
- Day 1
Lavrio to Poros
You'll board your sailboat at the Lavrio marina in the early afternoon and head south toward Poros, one of the more charming islands in the Saronikos Gulf. By late afternoon you'll arrive and join a guided walking tour through the old town. The route takes you to the famous clocktower for views over the bay, then through those flower-covered whitewashed 18th-century streets that make the town so distinctive.

- Day 2
Poros to Hydra
After breakfast, you'll spend three hours sea kayaking around the coves and bays near Poros to see the local plant and animal life. Back at the marina by early afternoon, you'll set sail southeast toward Hydra and arrive in the early afternoon. A guided walking tour covers the Naval Museum, the historic mansions from the 16th-18th centuries, a medieval fort, and then some time at traditional tavernas and waterfront coffee shops.

Hydra to Spetses
Following breakfast, you'll sail south to Dokos, a small largely unpopulated island, where there's excellent swimming and snorkeling including a 4,500-year-old underwater shipwreck to explore. Later you'll continue south to Spetses, which played a significant role in Greece's war of independence. A guided walking tour covers the main sights, and there's an optional bike ride around the island to find beautiful beaches and good restaurants.

- Day 4
Spetses to Vytina
This morning you'll sail west from Spetses toward the Peloponnese coast and the seaside town of Astros. You'll switch from your sailboat to a minivan here to start exploring the mainland. There's time to relax, grab lunch, and have one more swim before driving west into Arcadia and up to the mountain village of Vytina.

- Day 5
Arcadia Mountain Hiking
After a hearty breakfast, you'll explore the traditional mountain settlements and hike sections of the Menalon Trail, Greece's only internationally certified hiking trail. Starting with a morning walk through the narrow alleys of Dimitsana village, you'll head toward the Lousios River Gorge. The hike goes through dense forest to two Byzantine monasteries, Moni Prodromou and Moni Philosofou, which sit on steep rocks overlooking the river. You'll stop at Stemnitsa village before returning to Vytina.

- Day 6
Vytina to Nafplio
You'll drive west to the Nemea valley, famous for 3,500 years of winemaking, where you'll visit a vineyard and taste wines from native regional varieties. Later in the day you'll reach Nafplio on the east coast, Greece's first capital and one of the more charming towns in the region. On the walking tour you'll see an island fortress, a medieval castle, historical museums, and Byzantine churches. There's a stroll along the promenade to three isolated bays for swimming, and an optional hike up to Palamidi Castle for panoramic views.

- Day 7
Nafplio to Epidaurus to Athens
Your final stop is Epidaurus, a fishing village surrounded by orange and olive groves. The main draw is Greece's most important ancient theater, 2,350 years old and considered the birthplace of comedy and tragedy. You'll visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site and its museum. From there you'll head back to Athens by minivan, stopping to see the Corinth Canal on the way, arriving late in the afternoon.
