Itinerary
- Day 1
Karatu to Ndutu
Kick off your morning with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. before heading out on a three-hour drive from your Karatu lodge. You'll travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and into the Ndutu region, watching the landscape shift as you go. Once you arrive, spend the day on a game drive across the grasslands looking for wildebeest, zebra, antelope, and gazelle. The big cats are out here too, so keep your eyes open for lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You'll stop for a picnic lunch out in the field, then head back to the lodge for dinner.

Ndutu to Ngorongoro
Start early with a morning game drive in Ndutu, then come back for breakfast as the sun gets higher. You'll spend a half day exploring the wildlife-rich plains before having a picnic lunch. After lunch, you've got a 2.5 hour drive ahead of you covering about 75 kilometers to reach the Ngorongoro Crater rim. Pay attention during the drive since the landscape changes and wildlife shows up along the way. Once you arrive at the rim, settle into your lodging and have dinner while taking in views of the crater.

Landmarks/POIs Ngorongoro Crater - Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Grab a quick breakfast and then head down into Ngorongoro Crater at 6:30 a.m. for a game drive that'll take 5 to 6 hours. You're looking at spotting the Big Five and possibly the endangered black rhino as you drive across the 260 square kilometer crater floor. Lunch happens at a unique picnic spot near the hippo pool. After eating, you'll hike back up to the rim, then drive four hours back to Arusha where you'll be dropped at your preferred location to end your trip.
