Itinerary
- Day 1
Johannesburg to Kruger National Park Region
Start early from Johannesburg and drive northeast through the Lowveld toward your private bush lodge in the greater Kruger area. The route takes you through scenic countryside, and you'll stop for lunch in the historic town of Haenertsburg along the way. Once you reach the lodge, settle in and spend your first evening experiencing the African bush atmosphere.

Greater Kruger National Park
You'll wake early for a light breakfast before joining a guided morning game drive in the Big 5 area with a qualified ranger. After returning to the lodge for brunch, the afternoon is yours to relax by the pool or watch wildlife at the waterhole. Later, head out on an afternoon game drive that continues into the evening searching for nocturnal animals, wrapping up with sundowner drinks as the sun sets.

Panorama Route to Hazyview
After breakfast, head out to explore the Panorama Route and its natural sites. You'll see Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes where gold was once discovered, and God's Window viewpoint. Grab lunch on your own to connect with locals, then drive to Greenfire Lodge Hazyview, a log cabin built on stilts in the indigenous forest along the Sabie River. If there's time, take a nature walk through the property and nearby coffee farm.

Kruger National Park Full Day Game Drive
Leave at sunrise for a short drive to a different section of Kruger National Park for a full day of game viewing. Your expert guide drives slowly through the park, explaining animal behavior and habitats as you go. You'll stop at designated sites to get out and stretch, with lunch available at one of the park's rest camps. By late afternoon, you'll exit the park and return to Greenfire Lodge Hazyview.

Hazyview to Johannesburg
