Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Windhoek

    Your Namibian adventure starts in Windhoek at 2 PM with a tour briefing and meet-and-greet. After getting oriented, you'll walk around the city's main attractions and get a feel for the place. By evening, head to Joe's Beerhouse restaurant where you can try local dishes and experience the hospitality the city's known for. You'll stay at your hotel for the night.

  2. Day 2

    Windhoek to Namib Desert

    Leave Windhoek this morning and travel into the Namib Desert. The drive takes you through vast plains, red dunes, towering mountains and constantly shifting landscapes. Late in the afternoon you'll reach Greenfire Desert Camp, situated against a rock outcrop within the Namib Rand Nature Reserve. After settling in, you'll have your first evening at this remote location to adjust and relax.

  3. Day 3

    Namib Desert

    Start early and take an ecology walk with an expert guide across the endless desert vistas. You'll learn about desert animals and plants, animal tracks and how life survives in this harsh environment. During the hottest part of the day, hang out at camp or wander around the area on foot. In the mid-afternoon, head out on a desert drive across the red dunes. As the sun sets, have a traditional sundowner drink while watching the light change across the African landscape. After dark, slowly drive back to camp to look for nocturnal desert animals.

  4. Day 4

    Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei

    Start early and cross desert plains to reach Sesriem Canyon and the famous red Sossusvlei dunes. Transfer into the dunes and climb these massive mountains of sand. Then take a 4x4 vehicle into Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, a clay pan with dark dead camel thorn trees against white ground. Walk around and explore before heading back to your vehicle. The afternoon includes a visit to Sesriem Canyon before returning to your camp.

    Walvis Bay and Swakopmund

    Travel through Kuiseb Canyon and Namib-Naukluft National Park toward Walvis Bay, then continue to Swakopmund where German colonial buildings and influence from the late 1800s still shape the town. You'll spend two nights here in comfortable accommodation. The town offers quad biking, sand boarding and skydiving (at your own expense), or you can relax at local restaurants and shops to get a sense of the culture and daily life.

  6. Day 7

    Skeleton Coast and Brandberg Mountain

    Head north along the Skeleton Coast, a harsh and barren Atlantic coastline with shipwrecks scattered along the shore. Stop at Cape Cross, a spectacular breeding ground for Cape fur seals where over 100,000 gather. Travel back inland through vast desert to iconic Brandberg Mountain, Namibia's highest peak, to see ancient rock art. If hiking isn't your thing, you can stay at camp and enjoy the views from there. Tonight you'll stay at the foot of the mountain, and hopefully you'll spot the rare desert elephant.

  7. Day 8

    Damaraland

    Travel to Damaraland, home of the Damara people. Along the way you'll make several stops at the Organ Pipes, geological formations created roughly 150 million years ago, and at Twyfelfontein to see ancient rock engravings. Reach your camp for the night in the Khorixas area.

  8. Days 9 - 10

    Etosha National Park

    Head north into Etosha National Park for what many consider the tour's highlight. You'll spend two days exploring through extensive game drives at water holes, letting the experience unfold naturally as you watch for wildlife. Note that during peak season the tour may stay outside the park and conduct daily game drives in and out if the rest camps are full.

      unfortunately, we do not reach the summit of the mountain, we only do a small walk to the Bushman's patinating's and back (hiking fully might take 3 full days, and due to our scheduled tour departure, we are unable to stay there for 3 days).

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
