Litochoro
You'll arrive in Litochoro, a village sitting at the base of Mount Olympos. If the timing works out, there's time to walk around town and get oriented before your hiking starts tomorrow. This gives you a chance to settle in and prepare for what's ahead.

Litochoro to Agios Dionysios Monastery
Head out on a 10 km hike following the river Enipeas toward the ruins of Agios Dionysios monastery. The walk takes about 4 hours with a 900-meter climb, but the shorter distance lets you take in the landscape without feeling rushed. Once you finish, a cab brings you back down to Litochoro for the evening.

Agios Dionysios Monastery to Mountain Hut A
A transfer takes you to Agios Dionysios monastery, then you hike toward mountain hut A. Along the route, you'll pass a cave chapel where the monk Dionysios lived as an ascetic. Following the European E4 route, you cross several river basins and wooden bridges or stepping stones over clear water with nice views the whole way.

Mount Olympos Summit Ridge to Muses Plateau
This is a tough day as you climb steeply through alpine terrain to Skala summit at 2866 m, where you can see Mytikas summit (2918 m) and climbers on it. From there, you continue over a ridge to Skolio summit (2911 m), sign the summit book, and take in the views. The day finishes with a descent along Zonaria to the Muses Plateau and Kakkalos mountain hut.

Muses Plateau to Koromilia Hut
After the difficult climbing, this route is more manageable. You descend from the Muses Plateau to Giosos Pass and then to Lemos, a small mountain ridge. Shady forest paths take you downhill with occasional glimpses across the plain. By evening, you reach Koromilia hut.

Landmarks Giosos Pass Lemos Ridge - Day 6
Koromilia to Litochoro
From Koromilia, head east along forest paths with steep downhill sections. Between the trees, you'll see views out to the plain and sea. There's a break at the scenic square by Orlias stream, and then a cab picks you up at the church of Ag. Konstantinos to return to Litochoro. You can spend the evening relaxing in the village or heading down to the water for a swim.

Litochoro to Thessaloniki
The tour ends after breakfast. Public transportation is available if you need a transfer to Thessaloniki airport, though it's not part of the tour package.
