Krystol· March 10th, 2025Alain was our tour guide and he sets the bar high for future guided tours - the Aurora tour was perfectly planned and he had everything prepared for every day which made it so easy for us to enjoy every moment of our trip stress free and without any worry, many thanks to Alain for a wonderful experience in Finland. I think our favorite part of the tour was the Husky Safari and the Glass Igloo. Playing with the husky dogs and later seeing the northern lights was spectacular! While at the the Scandic hotel, everything was clean and comfortable, the restaurant served a great breakfast, and staff were helpful and friendly. V.O.S – Vision of ScandinaviaOperator•Written September 2025February and March are best months to see Aurora Borealis. We have available rooms on 29th November and 6th December. Aurora Borealis is not guaranteed but conditions may allow viewing during these tour months.

The Northern Lights are visible from Igloos since they have glass ceiling. We can add an extra night if there is availability. The regular hotel has windows so if the Northern Lights are visible from the city they can be seen, but it depends on the city lights, which affect their strength. If you are interested in 6th of December let me know so we can ask for availability at Santa Claus Igloos.

Ice floating takes 3 hours. This guided adventure is safe with a high-quality rescue suit that covers your whole body and keeps you dry. As you have your own clothing under the suit you will not get cold even in the open 0-degree water. Lying down in the frozen lake between the ice blocks is something worth trying, the circumstances truly are arctic!

There are some differences between the 2 tours: Aurora Borealis & Glass Igloo is an escorted tour with an experience Tour Leader, while Tales of Lapland and Glass Igloo is not escorted. Tales of Lapland includes 2 nights at Igloos and the airport transfers are included in the price. Both tours have different activities included.
