- Day 1
Atlanta
Your adventure begins in Atlanta with a welcome meeting at 6 pm tonight. Your tour leader will point you toward some solid local restaurants for dinner. Since the tour keeps its time here limited, consider arriving a day or two early to check out the Atlanta History Center or Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site on your own.

Atlanta to Savannah
You'll head out early for the drive to Savannah. Once you arrive, an expert guide takes you through Bonaventure Cemetery, which has that Southern gothic charm that makes it so distinctive. After that, you'll wander around town and see the antebellum mansions, those towering oak trees, and colonial buildings. By evening, you can join a ghost tour if you want or hit up one of the lively bars around the city.

Savannah
This morning is relaxed, then you'll meet up at 11 am for a three-hour walking tour that mixes Savannah's history with food. You'll stop at a pub, an award-winning honey store, and a traditional British pie shop. The afternoon is all yours to explore the city at your own pace.

Savannah to Charleston
After driving to Charleston, you'll grab lunch when you arrive. Then join an expert guide for a Black History tour, riding comfortably while hearing stories about the city's complex past and stopping to walk at historic landmarks. The afternoon is yours to explore on your own, or you can book a food tour if you want to discover more of the South's flavors.

Charleston to Asheville
You have a free morning to walk around Charleston's historic district or visit Fort Sumter National Monument. Later you'll drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains to Asheville. Once there, your leader takes you on a walking tour of downtown with its galleries and artist studios. For dinner, ask your leader about the boutique brew houses scattered around town.

Asheville
Start slow this morning, then head out to Biltmore House and Garden with your group. You'll tour the opulent Gilded Age mansion, which is America's largest home, and grab lunch plus wine at the on-site winery. The afternoon gives you time to keep exploring the property or head back into town. There's an optional group dinner available in the evening if you're interested.

Asheville to Nashville
You'll drive to Nashville this morning with a stop at a local whiskey distillery along the way. After touring the distillery and tasting some award-winning Tennessee whiskey, named to honor the first known African American master distiller, you'll have lunch with your group at a nearby restaurant. Then you continue to Nashville and take an orientation walk with your leader to get the lay of the country music capital. The evening is free, so track down a real Nashville hot chicken dinner.
