Itinerary
- Day 1
Tashkent
You'll arrive in Tashkent this evening after your flight. Once you get through immigration, an ASI representative will meet you with a warm welcome. From there, it's straight to the hotel where you can settle in and get some rest after traveling.
- Day 2
Tashkent
This morning you'll start exploring Tashkent's 2000-year history. Walk through ornate madrasahs and mausoleums, check out the impressive Opera House, and stroll across Independence Square and Earthquake Victims Square. The subway ride here is something special, with its palace-like stations. By evening, you'll have a welcome dinner with the group.

Tashkent - Chimgan
Head east toward the Chimgan mountains to get a feel for rural Uzbekistan. You'll take a chairlift up for views of the peaks and valleys, then hike along a river to Aksai Gorge where you'll see several waterfalls. After that, you'll return to Tashkent in the afternoon.

- Day 4
Tashkent to Samarkand
Board the train this morning heading to Samarkand, one of the world's oldest cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Start at the magnificent Registan with its ornate madrasas, then continue to the unique Bibi Hanim Mosque named after a woman. You'll wander through the lively bazaar, and finish with dinner at a traditional restaurant or caravanserai.

Samarkand
Your day starts at the Gur-Emir mausoleum, Timur's palatial tomb with its magnificent architecture. After that, you'll explore the Shahi-Sinda complex featuring ornate tombs from the 11th-15th centuries, also known as the 'Gates of Heaven'.

- Day 6
Samarkand - Zerafshan Mountains
You'll split into small groups today for a scenic drive into the Zerafshan Mountains with their rugged cliffs and barren heights. Hike through impressive almond tree forests along high paths. Later, enjoy a leisurely picnic with regional delicacies and fresh mountain air before heading back to Samarkand.

- Day 7
Samarkand to Lake Aidarkul
Leave Samarkand and drive through desert and steppe to the Nurata Mountains. You'll explore Sarmysh Gorge and hike to see some of the over 4,000 prehistoric rock carvings showing hunting scenes. After an outdoor picnic, continue to your yurt camp on Lake Aidarkul's golden dunes. Dinner here includes an open fire, music, and stories under the stars.

Lake Aidarkul to Bukhara
After a restful night and a typical shepherd's breakfast, drive to Lake Aidarkul for a refreshing dip in the clear water. The steppe stretches out around you, offering a sense of vastness. There's an optional short hike along the shore and a picnic before you continue your journey to Bukhara.

- Day 9
Bukhara
Bukhara greets you with colorful bazaars full of voices and scents, narrow alleys, and traditional mud houses. This oasis city is one of Islam's seven holy sites and forms the 'golden ring' with Samarkand. You'll take a break in a teahouse, visit the Lyabi-Hauz complex, explore trading places, the Magikki-Attori mosque, and the madrasahs. Dinner happens at an Uzbek family's home.

Bukhara to Khiva
Drive to Khiva following the Amu Darya through the endless Kizil-Kum desert, where red sand glistens in the silence. As you travel through one of Central Asia's largest deserts, you'll take in the vastness. Your driver shares stories about Uzbekistan's diverse population, ancient customs, and current developments.

- Day 11
Khiva
Khiva welcomes you with oriental flair, exotic scents, and colorful sights. This UNESCO World Heritage Site and open-air museum impresses with the old town of Itschan Kala, the 'Florence of the East,' where you sense 1500 years of culture in the winding alleyways. Discover the Ata-Darwasa, Muchamed-Amin-Chan madrasah, Kalta-Minor minaret, and Kunja-Ark Palace. Later, experience traditional flatbread baking in a clay oven with a local family.

Khiva to Germany
You'll begin your return journey with many impressions and unforgettable memories of Uzbekistan. In the morning you're transferred to the airport in Urgench. From here you depart for home, flying via Istanbul back to Germany, where you arrive in the evening.
