Itinerary
- Day 1
San Jose
Start by walking through Expression Park, which is the city's oldest green space, then check out the National Liquor Factory and Metal Building from the 1800s. After that, head to Central Market where you can walk around and try local Costa Rican food and coffee. A local guide will be with you the whole time, pointing out the architecture and history throughout San Jose.

- Day 2
San Jose to Manuel Antonio
A shuttle picks you up from your accommodation this morning and drives you to Manuel Antonio. You'll have the afternoon to settle in and get familiar with where you're staying.



- Day 3
Manuel Antonio
Spend the day walking through Manuel Antonio National Park's rainforest trails. Depending on which route you take, you might see white-faced monkeys, sloths, howler monkeys, and iguanas, plus over 180 bird species. The Main Trail runs 1.3 miles to the beaches, or try the Punta Catedral Trail for views, or go for the Mirador Trail if you want something more challenging.

- Day 4
Manuel Antonio to Monteverde
The shuttle picks you up this morning from Manuel Antonio and takes you to Monteverde in the cloud forest region. You'll arrive with time to explore your new surroundings.



- Day 5
Monteverde
Get ready for a canopy zip-line tour where you'll swing across 14 cables ranging from 75 to 150 meters high through the cloud forest. The Superman Cable shoots you through a 175-meter tunnel, and there's also a Tarzan swing and a 30-meter rappel. Between the adrenaline, you might spot jaguars, ocelots, quetzals, or see all the way to the Pacific Ocean and Lake Nicaragua on clear days.

Monteverde to Liberia
A shuttle comes by this morning to pick you up from Monteverde and drive you to Liberia. You'll arrive by afternoon with time to get settled.
- Day 7
Liberia
This day is completely free. Wander around Liberia, check out local restaurants, explore the town's culture, or head to nearby attractions depending on what interests you. No scheduled activities.
- Day 8
Liberia to San Juan del Sur
A shuttle comes to collect you this morning and takes you to San Juan del Sur, a coastal beach town. The drive gives you time to relax and prepare for the next leg of your trip.
- Day 9
San Juan del Sur to San Jorge
It's a short shuttle ride from San Juan del Sur to San Jorge this morning. A representative picks you up from your accommodation and takes you straight to the ferry departure point.

- Day 10
San Jorge to Ometepe
You'll board a ferry to Ometepe Island, and when you arrive, someone meets you to take you to your homestay. Spend the rest of the day exploring the island at your own pace and getting comfortable with your new surroundings.

Landmarks Ometepe Island - Day 11
Ometepe
Meet your guide around 6:00 AM and head out for an 8-hour hiking adventure. You'll walk through community paths and jungle trails, seeing precious wood trees and possibly chaff monkeys. The trek goes up to the Concepcion Volcano crater at about 1,610 meters, though you'll only stay at the top for 15 minutes due to toxic gases. If you prefer easier options, there are lower viewpoints at 300 or 600 meters. After hiking back down, you'll catch the ferry back to San Jorge.

San Jorge to Granada
A shuttle picks you up from San Jorge this morning and drives you to Granada, a colonial city in Nicaragua. You'll arrive with time to check into your accommodation.
- Day 13
Granada
Around 10:00 AM you'll head out on a boat tour of the Isletas, which are jungle-covered islets on Lake Nicaragua. Watch for monkeys, colorful birds, and other wildlife as you cruise around. The boat returns by 6:00 PM, leaving you the rest of the afternoon to walk around Granada and see its colonial architecture on your own.

Granada to Leon
A shuttle collects you this morning from Granada and takes you to Leon, another historic colonial city. You'll have the afternoon and evening to explore once you arrive.



- Day 15
Leon
A 4x4 vehicle takes you to Cerro Negro volcano, where you'll hike to the summit to see the active crater up close and get views of the surrounding forest. Then comes the fun part: you'll sled down the slopes back to the base. Afterward, you can hang out in nature, share stories with other travelers, and look at photos before heading back to your hostel.

- Day 16
Leon to El Tunco
This is a long shuttle transfer from Leon all the way to El Tunco on El Salvador's Pacific coast. The drive takes several hours, so you'll have plenty of time to watch the landscape change as you head toward the ocean.
- Day 17
El Tunco
You have a free day in El Tunco. Relax on the beach, try some local food, swim in the ocean, or explore nearby attractions around this coastal beach town. It's your call what to do.
- Day 18
El Tunco to Copan
A shuttle picks you up this morning from El Tunco and drives you to Copan in Honduras, where the Mayan ruins are located. The journey takes several hours, and you'll arrive with time to settle in.
- Day 19
Copan
Around 8:00 AM your guide picks you up for a tour of the Copan Mayan ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll see the 5th-century architecture and sculptural work, plus visit the museum where there's a life-size replica of the Rosalila temple. Your guide will drop you back at your accommodation after the tour.

Copan to Antigua
A shuttle comes by this morning to pick you up from Copan and drive you to Antigua in Guatemala. This UNESCO World Heritage colonial city is your next destination, and you'll arrive with the afternoon ahead.
- Day 21
Antigua
You'll hike Pacaya Volcano, one of Guatemala's most active volcanoes. The trek up takes about 2 hours through a moon-like landscape of dried lava, then you cross over surreal lava formations. Weather permitting, you might see eruptions or lava flows. On the way down, the slopes are muddy and slippery, so take your time. If you prefer, you can rent a horse for the ascent and descent.
