After having enjoyed several other Intrepid tours I’m afraid our experience this time will probably be our last. The company really misrepresented the trip in their pre tour sales brochure - many of the “highlights” are no longer available post covid which Intrepid should and must have known. The absence of our fishing experience, our forageing adventure, our visit to a local village, etc were not last minute cancelations but pre known changed circumstances. Even the extra trips we were charged for were dissppointing. What is the point of a canopy walk in a section of forest almost totally deserted by wildlife avoiding any human activity. We saw one solitary bird on our ‘intrepid’ walk across the rope bridging. Fortunately, our excellent tour leader strived to make our days as interesting ad possible and the latter part of the tour improved considerably. If you would like to secure your own room for the duration of the trip it would be an additional $800 USD. This would cover nights of your trip except for nights 2 and 3 (Batang Ai) and is subject to availability. If you do not want to add the additional single supplement we will pair you with another traveler of the same gender if there is one.
