- Day 1
Vancouver
You'll arrive in Vancouver and meet your German-speaking guide at the airport for the transfer to your hotel. After you get settled in, there's time to meet the rest of your tour group and get oriented to the city.

- Day 2
Vancouver
A full day exploring Vancouver starts with your city tour covering the 2010 Olympic sites, Pacific Ocean views, and the surrounding coastal mountains. You'll walk through Stanley Park to see the beaches and trails, then head to Robson Street and Chinatown to get a feel for the neighborhoods. Gastown comes next on the itinerary, and you'll also take in the panoramic views from the Harbour Building. Local restaurants give you a chance to try some regional food along the way.

Vancouver to Kelowna
Driving east from the coast takes you into the Okanagan Valley, famous for its vineyards and orchards. You'll arrive in Kelowna on the shore of Okanagan Lake. Local stories mention 'Ogopogo,' a legendary lake creature that supposedly lives in these waters, with origins in aboriginal history going back over 100 years. Keep your eyes open while you're here.

Kelowna to Banff
The drive heads east from the Okanagan toward the Canadian Rocky Mountains. You'll cross Rogers Pass, the highest point on the Trans Canada Highway, then move through the narrow Kicking Horse Gorge in Yoho National Park. Wildlife sightings are common along this route, so watch for mountain animals as you travel.

Banff
This is a free day to explore Banff National Park at your own pace. The park, established in 1885 to protect natural hot springs, has canyons, waterfalls, and mountain passes to discover. Lake Louise sits at the base of Victoria Glacier and offers good walking trails around its shores. Later in the afternoon, you'll return to Banff town to check out the local shops and attractions.

Banff to Jasper
The Icefield Parkway drive takes you through one of North America's most scenic routes, passing snow-covered mountains and glaciers on the way to the Columbia Icefield. An optional tour with special glacier vehicles heads out to the Athabasca Glacier if you want a closer look. After that, Maligne Canyon is next before you reach Jasper early in the evening.

- Day 7
Jasper to Prince George
Starting with views of Moose Lake and Mount Robson (the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies at over 3,950 meters), you'll say goodbye to the Rocky Mountain national parks and continue to Prince George. This city is the largest in northern British Columbia and serves as the main hub for the vast, sparsely populated region.

Prince George to Smithers
Heading west on the Yellowhead Highway brings you through endless river and lake landscapes surrounded by forests. Smithers is your destination, a small town with a European feel, sometimes called 'Little Switzerland' by locals, and it's surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges.

Smithers to Stewart
You'll stop at Moricetown Falls, a canyon where Native people fish for salmon using traditional methods. The Ksan Indian Village has totem poles and traditional houses to explore. From there, the scenic Skeena River route continues with a stop at Bear Glacier before you reach Stewart for the night.

Stewart - Hyder, Alaska
Today breaks up the driving with time to explore Stewart itself. You can cross the border into Hyder, Alaska, a small town with fewer than 100 residents that locals call 'the friendliest ghost town in Alaska.' Salmon Glacier, one of the world's largest glaciers open to visitors, sits about 37 kilometers northeast of Stewart. After visiting the glacier, you'll return to town to walk the waterfront or check out the mining museum. Local restaurants offer a good place to relax and eat after the long journey.

Stewart to Watson Lake
The Stewart-Cassiar Highway takes you north through some of Canada's most remote and wild scenery. Wildlife viewing is excellent along this route, so have your camera ready. After a long but unforgettable drive, you'll arrive in Watson Lake, Yukon. The famous Sign Post Forest here has over 100,000 signs from around the world, and you can look for one from your home or leave your own.

- Day 12
Watson Lake to Skagway
Leaving Watson Lake, you'll drive to Skagway, Alaska through beautiful Yukon scenery on roads that showcase the region's vastness. The Alaska Highway takes you through First Nation villages like Teslin and Tagish before you head south on the Klondike Highway. Carcross comes next, then you'll cross the alpine tundra of White Pass to reach Skagway on the Pacific coast. This town keeps its Wild West character as the gateway to the 1898 gold rush. The famous Red Onion Saloon, once a brothel and now a bar and restaurant, is worth a visit.

Skagway to Whitehorse

In Whitehorse itself, you can visit the S.S. Klondike paddle steamer, a restored vessel from the Yukon Gold Rush era. Shops and historic sites are scattered through town if you want to explore further.
