We saw many natural, historic, and cultural attractions and learned so much about both Slovenia and Croatia . Show moreTrip date: October 2025 - LRLori· October 22nd, 2025This tour covered the areas we wanted to see, there were 13 on the tour and we were in a 20 seater really comfortable van so plenty of room, although 5 of those seats you would not have been able to see anything. We had a good driver Sasha and felt safe, our tour guide Bogdan was good but felt he could do better. 5 of the participants started the tour in Budapest and 7 started in Ljubljana, no get together with your fellow travellers before you start, just straight off on a walking tour of Ljubljana and he tended to converse more with them and not much information given on what was happening. All the hotels were good except the one in Ljubljana, breakfasts were all good. Tour guides in the cities of Ljubljana and Split were good, Pula excellent and Dubrovnik terrible, a waste of time, she was a last minute as the original guide cancelled to do a ship, more tips I guess. As for the experience more, 3 wineries were too many, 1 would have been enough, the 1st one had the best wine according to everyone and was in a nice area, the 2nd one made the day too long and you were back tracking on roads you had already been on, the 3rd one terrible in every way, run down village, back yard shed, nowhere for the bus to park, terrible wine, obviously not sussed out by the tour company. Truffles of Istria, don't expect to see any truffles, we were lucky in that the dogs found one the size of a peanut, the area is probably overworked, you cann't see much as there is just a pathway through the trees you follow so only the ones up front actually see the dogs working so that was very disappointing. The oyster and seashell tasting was 2 small oysters and some mussels, there were quite a few of us that don't eat shell fish so we got a meat pattie and fries for lunch. Plitvice Lakes is really beautiful, you do need to able to walk quite a distance to appreciate it. The boat trip to Hvar by ferry was a relaxing day. Our Balkan Extended from Ljubljana to Dubrovnik small group tour is set to depart from Ljubljana on July 8th. Additionally, Balkan Extended tour has different starting cities, so you can also join a bit earlier, on July 4th from Budapest, or July 6th from Belgrade. All of the above options do fit your budget. Moreover, for private tours, the tour can start on whichever date you prefer, including July 3rd. Price per person, for 2 people traveling together would be approximately 5600 USD. This would mean that you would have a vehicle for your self, completely private transfers, private guide and tours.

The first one is guaranteed tour with fixed dates, where you will be joining a small group of travelers. We set our maximum on 24 passengers, but usually we have 10-14 travelers in the group. Private tours can be organized for any number of travelers, including solo traveler, and you can choose whichever date you prefer. We would organize a private tour just for you with private guide/driver and private car.

When there is solo traveler on a private tour, there is no single supplement per se, it is already included in the price. However, if there is more travellers that would like to book the tour, and some of them wish to have a private room only for themselves, they would have a single supplement. For shared tour, single supplement is 859 EUR. It is added to our base price of 2880 EUR, totalling to 3739 EUR per person in single room.
