- Susan· December 30th, 2024I enjoyed green island tours. Very professional and organized. Vivi in particular was so lovely. He was knowledgeable, fun and flexible. He took care of everything. The hotels selected were mostly ok, however the Feon’ny Ala could do with some work on the plumbing. It’s beautifully located and serves the most incredible fresh croissants. Our driver was excellent and we felt safe, even on some very dodgy stretches of road. The tour is well designed from start to finish.Show more

Asked on August 11th, 2024We are thinking to travel in December early December,2024 wondering all we want to do is see and take photos of the avenue des baobabs and mainly see them. it's a short trip, we will fly into Antananarivo then will see if we can find a flight on same day or day after to morondava and then the day trip. And possibly kirindy forest? So day trip we require to be picked up from morondava then day trip to see the baobabs and sunset then back to hotel.

The price of this tour on December 2024 is USD $894 per person i.e USD $1788 for the 2 of you. In April 2025, the price will be USD $1294 per person i.e USD $2588 for the 2 of you. Vaccinations are not really required. All you need is anti-malarial medication such as malarone. You'll also need sunscreen. Madagascan currency is changing all the time. 1 GPB is around 5300 Ariary.

Pls advise which day & timing you can pick me up from Antananarivo? And which day & timing you can drop me back to same hotel in Antananarivo?

Concerning the transfer Antananarivo-Morondava-Antananarivo, we can arrange this. We suggest to pick you up at your hotel in Antananarivo at 6 AM on monday 4th then drive straight to Morondava so you take your 3 days tour. Afterwards, you return to Antananarivo by car for two days on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th, as it's difficult to drive in a single day despite the uphill road.

To get to Morondava you have two choices, either by plane or by land. The flight plan for the month of May and June for Morondava is Thursday only. If we can give you a proposal, it is better to take the car, you will have more visit along the road. If you choose to fly, the cost of a one-way ticket is around $154.6. For the moment, only you want to register for this date, so the rate for one person is $847.

It is difficult to integrate into a group in Madagascar because travelers are not yet numerous. If you have four days (Departure on May 12 and return to Tan'a on May 15), going by car is the best way to discover many things. Along the road there are small villages where you can meet local people. In Morondava, apart from the Baobab alley and the sunset, you will have time to visit 'Kirindy' park, where there are three species of lemurs.

I suggest an alternative circuit to the East in Andasibe. You can visit the National Park Analamazaotra and the private park 'Vakona'. You will have the opportunity to discover the biggest lemur of Madagascar 'Indri-Indri'. The price for a solo traveler is $694. The month of May is the beginning of the winter period, the East is a bit cool and humid.
