Itinerary
- Day 2
Wollongong to Shellharbour
After breakfast, you'll cycle around Wollongong's Boat Harbour before heading to Nan Tien Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere. The temple grounds and gardens are open for you to explore at your own pace, and there are exhibitions to check out if you're interested. From there, the route takes you around Lake Illawarra and through Windang Beach on your way to Shellharbour, a scenic seaside town where you'll stay the night.

Shellharbour to Kiama
You'll have breakfast included, then cycle along the beach bike path and through quiet suburbs around Shellharbour. The route takes you through mangrove swamps to where the Minnamurra River meets the coast. The final 8km to Kiama gets hilly but rewards you with dramatic coastal views. Once you reach Kiama, you can spend the rest of the day exploring the headland, checking out the blowhole, or grabbing fish and chips at the harbour.

Kiama
Arrangements will be made to collect hire bikes if you need them returned. From here, you can transfer to Kiama train station for your departure, which takes about 1 hour to Thirroul or 2 hours to Sydney.
