When I rang (as they told me to do) for an alternative or refund, the guy told me nothing was available on those dates when he filters them! Meaning no one even looked at that he 3 days before they took my money!!!! Every person on the phone was telling me something else and I've been waiting for my refund for over a week now! Our guide was fantastic, and was able to manage different personalities gracefully and ensure everyone felt included. The add-on activities were pretty great. Negatives: The accomodations on this trip and the included activities were sub-par for the price of this trip. Most of the activities are add-ons (you have to pay separately for them on TOP of the listed price here). The hostels were share rooms with others on the trip, with 4-6 people per room. I don't think the price was justified for the value. You're paying for Contiki to organize activities, transportation (not all is paid for), hostels, and potential friends to make. If this is your first time traveling solo, I'd reccomend this trip completely. You'll have a great time, meet wonderful people, and not have to stress about the nuances of travel and being in a new city/country.
