- Mary-Rose· May 7th, 2025I was the victim of an unprovoked attack with a weapon by a violent member of the group. I have my attack on video. This individual was violent on at least three prior occasions with others in the group and with a stranger who was another tourist, the tour leader received complaints and was aware, yet Penguin still allowed her to stay on the tour and she was only removed after she viciously attacked me. More was done to appease unreasonable and aggressive characters and there was zero regard for the basic safety of others who spent time and money to be on this trip. I know Penguin would like to earn her money too but their own policy allows them to remove unreasonable members at their discretion. They failed to exercise this discretion and that led to me being injured. I'm sure this violates the health and safety conditions and regulatory requirements of their tour operator licence. I received zero medical treatment and the tour just continued after the attack. Truly appalling management of a very dangerous situation.Show morePenguin Travel commented on this reviewDear Mary, Thank you for your detailed message. - Norhayati· August 12th, 2024Excellent trip with a wonderful fun group. Great tour leader Gorgi. Good local guides and our driver from Armenia, Arun is a total gem. - Peter· August 8th, 2024Nice itinerary with some opportunities for individual exploring. I'd recommend to stay a day early in Yerevan and later in Baku to really explore those cities. Penguin before, and the guide during were excellent. Very knowledgeable guides in all countries, and they were very nice. Maybe a bit too longwinded at times that cut short available time for photos or exploring sites at various places. Hotels were excellent.Show moreTrip date: July 2024
- MMilena· June 4th, 2024It was a great tour. Armenia and Georgia are hidden gems. Dramatic history, magnificent religious monuments, rich culture, amazing nature, nice food and... great wine. Asked on April 19th, 2025I am interested in joining the tour departing on 31 May and would like to enquire whether there are any other female travellers already booked on this departure who might be open to sharing a twin room. I am willing to share with another female participant in order to avoid the single supplement fee.
- Penguin TravelOperator•Written April 2025
At the moment, there are not other female participants who are willing to share room. However, if you wish to proceed with the booking, we will note you want to share. If someone else signs up that is willing to share as well, we will remove the single supplement.

Traveler•Written March 2025Can you cater for a Gluten-free diet?
- Penguin TravelOperator•Written March 2025
The "local payment" needs to be paid in cash to the tour leader on arrival. Having a small part of the cost paid cash as a local payment is a standard practice in the tourism industry. During some of our tours in specific parts of the world, there are a lot of cash expenses that we as an agency need to cover (which are included in your travel package). That's why to make it safer and easier for our tour leader, they will collect a small amount in cash directly from you during the tour. Having a Local Payment also allows us to keep the cost of our tours competitive and save on operational and administrative costs, so we can pass the savings on to you. Please note that the local payment doesn't cover tips for the local guides or tour leader, entry fees or other personal expenses.
- Penguin TravelOperator•Written March 2025
The additional cost for a single traveler is 260 euros, this includes single rooms in the hotels.
- Penguin TravelOperator•Written March 2025
Unfortunately the menu for this trip is fixed. Me, personally, have a problem with the gluten, so I am just careful with the things I eat when traveling. Also I try to buy fruits and vegies along the way, so that I always have a little snack in case I feel hungry. A breakfast doggy bag is also a good option in these cases. On the other side the food in the Caucuses region is amazing - if you eat meat, you will not have a problem with the gluten restriction.

Traveler•Written February 2025Would you be able to tailor a more detailed Proposed Itinerary with the Inclusions/ Exclusions etc. as this is an Adventure Group who loves nature and short scenic hikes.
- Penguin TravelOperator•Written February 2025
The itinerary, as per this moment is the same that you see it on the website of Tour Radar. If you want, we can work and try to tailor an itineray that includes more nature and short scenic hikes. The focus of our itinerary is more into cultural side, than to the nature one.
