- DTDany· February 5th, 2020A long overdue return to Nepal and its lovely lovely people. Having also previous completed Gokyo Lakes/Cho La/Everest BC trek, this was a different experience altogether with a less developed feel and far fewer other trekkers. A bonus to have the variety of walking from low level jungle and steep sided river gorge, through forest, opening up into alpine zone surrounded by stunning peaks and then the challenge of climbing through the snow to cross the Larkya La, followed by returning to the comfort of greenery and forest once again. All along the way passing many little villages, smiling faces and greetings of 'Namaste'. The long drives at the start and end were hard work but entertaining and unavoidable. Our guide Ricky was exceptional, taking care of the whole team and ensuring everyone was happy, especially the most important people - our fabulous porters. He was very knowledgable and experienced, which allowed him to adjust the itinerary so we avoided an extra day waiting to cross the pass, crossed in good weather and had a couple of shorter days afterwards to recover. Our Sirdar Maan and Sherpas Tendi and Shakta worked tirelessly also. The lovely Bijay our water boy was ever smiling! I looked forward to "Ricky Time" each evening when we would hear a funny story or fascinating piece of information that you would not find in any guide book. To top it all I shared the experience with 8 other great people, a nice sized group and great company. Thanks Uma Holidays and 'Rock On' Ricky!Show moreSherpa Expedition Teams commented on this reviewDear Dany Timi?, Thank You for your recommendation.!Trip date: February 2020
- GJgabriel· January 8th, 2020Manaslu Trek is highly recommended to those who are interested in a trek in a peaceful area. Our 13 days trek was full of fun, adventure and lots of sleepless nights. This is a very beautiful trekking route and recommends to those with average fitness. We didn't train much before the trek so we struggled quite a bit.Show moreSherpa Expedition Teams commented on this reviewDear Gabriel Juior, Thank You for your recommendation.!Trip date: January 2020
- RBRussell· December 23rd, 2019We have done Manaslu circuit trek in November. We had a great time, nice weather. Our guide Ram barakoti and both porters and agency Uma holidays did a great job. Ram Barakoti was very supportive and friendly. He arranged nice lodges with the best food for us. Everything went in the best possible way. Ram even carried one of our loads last part of the way to Larke pass, when one of our porters could not do it. Ram Barakoti and Agency Uma Holidays deserve nice recommendation.!!Show moreSherpa Expedition Teams commented on this reviewDear Russell Brice, Thank you for your Recommendation.!Trip date: December 2019
- AIAndrew· December 17th, 2019The scenery is so diverse and sometimes really breathtaking. Don't expect anything comfortable though. Also as there are no roads, foods and water grow more expensive the higher you go. Highest place we payed like 5 dollars for a water. I recommend you bring a filter system.Show moreSherpa Expedition Teams commented on this reviewDear Andrew Irvine, Thank you for your Recommendation.!Trip date: May 2019
- FWFritz· December 16th, 2019This trek was great. The guide was well organised, professional, safety minded and friendly. The food was tasty and accommodation was comfortable along the way. - CPCharles· December 3rd, 2019My experience walking the Himalayas could not be better because one man: the guide and also the company owner Ram Barakoti. He gave me a lot of good information about the trekking and we meet after trekking also. He also opened the door of their family and I can say that have been the best experience in my life! With him you don't have a guide, you have a friend :)Show moreSherpa Expedition Teams commented on this reviewDear Charles Pratt, Thank You for your reccommondation.!Trip date: May 2019
