- Day 1
Hanoi
You'll land at Hanoi airport where your Legend Travel Group driver meets you for the hotel transfer. Once you check in, the rest of the day is open so you can walk around and get your bearings at whatever pace feels right.

Hanoi to Sapa
Head out between 6:45-7:00 am on the Sapa Express Bus (Noble Limousine, 29 seats) for the drive north. You'll see the Red River valley and mountain scenery along the way, with a 30-minute break roughly midway through. Arrival in Sapa happens around 1:30 pm, giving you the afternoon to check in and wander the town.

Sapa
Starting at 9:30 am from Sapa Ethnic, walk down into Muong Hoa valley and trek through rice terraces to reach Y Linh Ho, a Black Hmong village. After that you'll walk along the river to Lao Chai village to visit families and learn how they live. Lunch comes at a riverside restaurant, then it's on to Ta Van village in the afternoon where Giay people share tea and their traditions. You're back in Sapa by late afternoon with the evening free.

Sapa to Hanoi
After breakfast, trek to Cat Cat Village at Fansipan's base to see H'mong families working on traditional clothing and weaving. From there walk about 3km through rice terraces to Sin Chai village to check out the wooden homes. At 3:30 pm your driver picks you up from the tourism information center and you head back to Hanoi on the new highway with two stops along the way. You'll pull into Hanoi between 8:30-9:00 pm.

Hanoi
Your guide picks you up after breakfast to cover Hanoi's main sights. Start with Tran Quoc Pagoda on Golden Fish Island in West Lake, which dates back to the 6th century. Then move through the Ho Chi Minh complex to see his preserved body and two former residences, followed by the One Pillar Pagoda. The Vietnam Ethnology Museum shows work from all 54 of Vietnam's ethnic groups. After lunch grab the Temple of Literature, where Vietnam's first university operated starting in the 11th century, then Hoa Lo Prison. You're back at the hotel by evening.

Hanoi to Mai Chau
Leave Hanoi at 8:30 am heading toward Bakhan Village, passing through Hoa Binh City with rural countryside alongside the route. Stop around 10:30 am for tea or coffee, then lunch comes at Bakhan Village Restaurant near noon after check-in. Around 3:00 pm take a walk through Muong Village of Khan Ha and up West hill for valley views. Dinner happens at 7:00 pm followed by a traditional dance show from 8:00-9:00 pm if available.

Mai Chau to Hanoi
Start trekking at 9:00 am on the East Mountain route with valley views (it works for various fitness levels). You're back at the resort by 11:00 am to rest and check out. Lunch is at noon before you leave for Hanoi at 1:30 pm, arriving at the Old Quarter around 5:00 pm with free time to explore.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Your mini-van or bus picks you up between 8:30-9:00 am for the 3.5-hour drive to Halong City through countryside and rice paddies. Once there you board a traditional Chinese junk and cruise Halong Bay (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Fresh seafood lunch is served on board, and you'll visit a cave then swim in the water. That night you anchor in a quiet spot where you can have dinner, watch the sunset, swim in phosphorescent water, or relax under the stars on deck.

Halong Bay to Hanoi
Rise early to catch the sunrise and breathe in the sea air, then have breakfast on board while cruising past thousands of islands, great for photos. Stop at a floating fishing village to hear about the fishermen's lives and their stories. Lunch is served during the cruise back to Halong City pier, and you return to Hanoi by 3:30-4:00 pm. After checking into your hotel, the Old Quarter is open for exploring, trying local street food, or shopping for souvenirs.

Hanoi to Hoi An
Eat breakfast at your hotel then spend the morning browsing and shopping around the Old Quarter at your own speed. In the afternoon a driver takes you to the airport for your flight to Hoi An. After landing you're picked up and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Hoi An's UNESCO Ancient Town has well-preserved architecture and traditional temples, leaving the rest of your day free to settle in and look around.

Landmarks/POIs Hoi An Ancient Town - Day 11
Hoi An
Spend the day exploring Hoi An, the former trading center called Faifo. Visit a temple with gilded statues showing Chinese and Japanese influences, then a pagoda from the 1700s that honors sailors and fishermen. Check out the Sa Huynh Museum by the famous Japanese Covered Bridge for early Hoi An history. In the afternoon take a boat on the Thu Bon River to Kim Bong Village on Cam Kim Island where woodworkers and shipbuilders have practiced their trades for generations. Later wander Hoi An Ancient Town on your own.

Hoi An
Meet your guide at 8:00 am and cycle 3km to Tra Que Vegetable Village through peaceful villages and countryside. At the village get hands on with organic farming, learning to prep soil, grow vegetables, and water them. A 15-minute herbal foot massage refreshes you before a cooking class with a local family making Hoi An specialties like Tam Huu Spring Rolls and Banh Xeo Pancakes. Lunch is with the family, then the afternoon is free for shopping or heading to Cua Dai beach (4km away). You're back at the hotel around 3:30 pm.

After breakfast, leave at 8:00 am for My Son, a UNESCO site 50km southwest with red brick towers and sanctuaries built between the 7th and 13th centuries by the Cham people. Walk through the lush valley learning about Cham civilization and beliefs while studying the temple carvings and sculptures. Return to Hoi An for lunch around 1:00 pm on your own. The afternoon is free for shopping or exploring Hoi An's famous lanterns, tailor-made clothing, and handcrafted items.

Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
Have breakfast and keep the morning free to relax or shop in Hoi An. Later you're transferred to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. After you land a driver picks you up and takes you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day opens up to explore the city yourself, whether that's cultural sites like the War Remnants Museum or Independence Palace, local markets, or just relaxing at your hotel.

Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast explore Ho Chi Minh City's highlights. Start with Notre Dame Cathedral and its neo-Romanesque style built by the French in the 19th century, then the historic Central Post Office designed by Gustave Eiffel with intricate maps and arched windows. Visit the Reunification Palace, the former South Vietnam presidential residence. After lunch head about 75km to the Cu Chi Tunnels (roughly 1.5 hours drive). These 200km-plus tunnel networks played a major role in the Vietnam War. You'll walk through underground cities with trap doors, living quarters, storage, weapon factories, hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. Learn how they were built and how people survived there, try simple meals fighters ate, and go into the tunnels yourself. Return to the city for the night.

After breakfast your guide picks you up at 8:00 am for the 75km journey to My Tho, capital of Tien Giang Province on the Mekong River. The region is known for orchards and rice fields that feed the nation. You'll explore one or two islands famous for traditional handcrafts like coconut candy and bee farms. Then head to Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest in the Mekong Delta, reached by boat and surrounded by beautiful gardens with intricate architecture. After the tour return to Ho Chi Minh City to check in for the night.
