Arrival in Nairobi
You'll arrive in Nairobi whenever works for your flight. The day is yours to settle in and rest up. In the evening, there's a welcome meeting where you'll connect with your CEO and the other travelers on the trip.

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Heading north from Nairobi, you'll drive through Kikuyu farmlands with Mount Kenya visible in the distance. A stop at a Samburu village lets you watch traditional dancing and learn about their customs. After that, you continue to Samburu National Reserve for an afternoon safari drive looking for elephants and big cats.

Samburu National Reserve
This is a full safari day in Samburu where you're searching for the reserve's special five species found only north of the equator: beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, and gerenuk antelope. You'll have the whole day to cover ground.

Samburu to Lake Nakuru
You'll descend into the Great Rift Valley with impressive escarpment views on the drive. Arriving in Nakuru, you'll see the colorful local markets in this vibrant agricultural town. Camping at the edge of Lake Nakuru National Park, and weather permitting, you can visit a local tea farm to see how tea gets grown, picked, and processed.

Lake Nakuru National Park
Today's safari takes you into Lake Nakuru National Park where you'll search for buffalo, impala, and if you're lucky, the elusive leopard. The park offers good chances to see various animals in different habitats.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
You're heading to Masai Mara National Reserve with its wide open plains and distinctive flat-topped acacia trees. After arriving in the afternoon and settling into the tented camp base, you'll head out for an afternoon safari drive hunting for the big five.

Masai Mara National Reserve
Getting up early gives you the best chance to spot animals as they're most active. The rolling hills of the African savannah are yours to explore for the full day, covering significant ground. If there's time, you can swing by the Mara River area. A balloon safari is optional if you want a different perspective from above.

Masai Mara to Nairobi
Your final safari drive targets the big five. Later, you'll have lunch at Amani ya Juu, a G for Good supported venue. Then it's the drive back to Nairobi where you'll have free time to pick up local handicrafts or walk around the city before your day wraps up.

Nairobi to Kampala
You're traveling from Nairobi to Kampala, making the transition from Kenya into Uganda. Once you arrive in Uganda's capital city, you'll have time to relax and get ready for the second part of your adventure.

Kampala to Fort Portal
Taking the scenic route to Fort Portal at the edge of Kibale National Park, you'll spend the night on a guest farm. From there, you can hear the sounds of monkeys and birds in the surrounding forest.

Chimpanzee Trek & Bigodi
In the morning or afternoon, you'll do a chimpanzee trek through the evergreen rainforest. A traditional lunch happens in the Bigodi Community, and if you want more, you can optionally take a guided walk through Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary to see the deeper wetlands.

Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Continuing to Queen Elizabeth National Park, you'll stop at the equator on the way. An afternoon safari drive starts your time in the park, where you're looking for warthogs, elephants, buffalo, five different primate species, and hippos. The landscape varies with open savannah, swamp areas around Lake George, and forested gorges.

Gorilla Trek
Rising early for the main highlight of your trip, you'll meet your park ranger for orientation before the gorilla trek. The trek length and difficulty varies depending on where the gorilla family is that day. You'll have up to an hour observing these endangered creatures in their natural habitat, then trek back for free time in the afternoon.

Bwindi to Kigali
