- Day 1NairobiYou'll arrive in Nairobi whenever works for your flight. The day is yours to settle in and get oriented. Later this evening, there's a welcome meeting where you'll connect with your CEO and the rest of the group, so everyone can get to know each other before the adventure really begins. - Day 2Nairobi to Maasai MaraAfter traveling through the Great Rift Valley, you'll reach Maasai Mara and get settled at the safari camp. By late afternoon, head out on your first wildlife drive. This is when you've got solid chances of seeing the big five - lion, cheetah, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe - as the animals are starting to move around before sunset. - Meals

- Day 3Maasai MaraStart early when the wildlife is most active out on the savanna. You have two options for the rest of the day: visit a Masai village to learn about their culture, dance as a warrior, and see family compounds, or take a hot air balloon safari for a completely different view of the landscape from above. Either way, you'll see the reserve from a fresh perspective. - Meals

- Day 4Maasai Mara to NairobiThe drive back to Nairobi starts early in the morning. You'll stop in Maai Mahiu to visit Amani ya Juu, a community initiative supporting local women's economic independence. After lunch there, continue back to Nairobi where you'll have time to walk around the city and pick up local handicrafts before the evening. - Meals

- Day 5Nairobi to KampalaHead to the airport for your included flight from Nairobi to Kampala, Uganda's capital. The flight gets you between these two East African cities without spending all day on the road. Once you land and check in, take things easy and relax as you prepare for the next part of your journey. - Meals

- Day 6Kampala to Fort PortalLeave Kampala and travel the scenic route to Fort Portal, which sits at the edge of Kibale National Park. You'll spend the night at a guest farm where you can fall asleep to the sounds of monkeys and birds calling through the rainforest - it's quite the experience before you start exploring tomorrow. - Meals

- Day 7Fort Portal - Kibale National ParkTrek into the rainforest to search for chimpanzees, either in the morning or afternoon depending on what works best. After that, you'll have a traditional lunch with the Bigodi Community. If you're interested, there's also an optional guided walk through Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary where you can spot more wildlife in this ecosystem. - Meals

- Day 8Fort Portal to Queen Elizabeth National ParkTravel south toward Queen Elizabeth National Park and stop at the equator along the way - one of those geography moments worth a photo. Later in the afternoon, head out on a wildlife safari drive where you can see warthogs, elephants, buffalo, five different primate species, and hippos across the park's mix of savannah, swamps, forests, and gorges. - Meals

- Day 9Queen Elizabeth National ParkRise early for a morning safari drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Lunch happens inside the park, and if you want, there's an optional evening cruise on the Kazinga Channel to wrap up the day. - Meals

By evening, you'll arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and settle in for the night. Tomorrow's the big day, so getting rest tonight is important before the gorilla trekking experience. - Meals

- Day 11Bwindi Impenetrable National ParkThis is the highlight of the tour - mountain gorilla trekking. You'll wake early and meet with a park ranger for orientation before heading into the forest. The trek's length and difficulty depends on where the gorilla family is located that day. You'll get up to an hour watching these endangered creatures in their natural habitat, which is genuinely rare. After trekking back, you'll have free time in the afternoon to rest and process the morning. - Meals

- Day 12Bwindi to KigaliCross into Rwanda and head to Kigali, the capital. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to understand the country's complex history. Lunch is at the Nyamirambo Women's Centre, which is supported by G Adventures. After that, the rest of the day is open for you to explore the city at your own pace as the tour wraps up. - Meals
