Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Imlil
After breakfast, you'll drive from Marrakech to Imlil by way of Asni. Once there, meet up with your mule team and start trekking through the valley heading toward Tacheddirt. The route takes you up and over Tizi n'Tamatert pass at 2,279m, then down into Ouaneskra village where you'll set up camp by the river for the night.

Tacheddirt to Azib Likemt
This day involves crossing the valley and climbing up to Tizi Likemt pass, which sits at 3,555m. From the pass, you get panoramic views across Toubkal National Park. After taking in the scenery, descend to Azib Likemt village and make camp there.

Azib Likemt to Amsouzert
You'll trek through mountain countryside, working your way up to Tizi n'Ououraine at 3,120m. The route offers nice views throughout the day. Once you reach Amsouzert, check in at the gite and spend the rest of the day resting up.

Amsouzert to Lake Ifni
Head out to Lake Ifni, the sole lake within Toubkal National Park. Spend time exploring the local area around the lake, then set up camp right on the shoreline for the night.

Lake Ifni to Neltner Hut
Expect a challenging day. You'll climb steep mountainsides to reach Tizi n'Ouanoums at 3,664m, then zig-zag further up to Neltner Hut (also called Toubkal Refuge). This early stop gets you positioned for tomorrow's summit push, so you can make an early start.

Jebel Toubkal Summit to Imlil
Start early for your summit attempt on Jebel Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak at 4,167m. From the top, you'll see panoramic views that can sometimes reach all the way to Marrakech if conditions are clear. After reaching the summit, head down through Sidi Chamharouch shrine and Aremd village, following the Mizane River back to Imlil to finish the trek.
