He took me everywhere I wanted to go, and even made a few personal recommendations regarding food & events. He taught me about Sri Lankan culture, while still giving me the space to also have time enjoying my holiday to myself. It is very difficult. Card payments cannot be made at any local sites controlled by the government agencies. For example, Elephant Orphanage/National parks, Sigiriya fortress etc. Card payments can only be made at certain stations for tourism activities promoted by private agencies. The best way is keeping cash on hand.
