The scenery is absolutely gorgeous and the people were very friendly and inquisitive everywhere we went. It is shared accommodation but you do have an option of upgrading in some of the hotels to a single room and you can pay this locally. An Additional permit is required and applied for through us (included in the trip price).

Whilst we don't offer a flight booking service ourselves, the best option would be to fly internationally into Beijing and then take a domestic flight from here to Kashgar (Kashi Airport). Direct flights are offered between Beijing and Kashi with both Air China and China Southern. Flights cost around £300-£400 per person one way. There are also trains which go to Kashgar from Xi'an, Chengdu and Beijing, however the journey times are extremely long and often have many security check-points along the way.
