Itinerary
- Day 1
Kigali
Start early and head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda's history. From there, walk through Kimironko Market where you'll find everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to clothing and local handcrafts. After grabbing lunch at a local restaurant, check out the Inshuti Arts Center and Camp Kigali Memorial. By late afternoon, make your way to a mountain viewpoint overlooking the city for views across Kigali.

Akagera National Park
Leave at 5:00 am for the drive to Akagera National Park. Once there, you'll start with a boat trip on the water before spending the full day doing a game drive searching for wildlife. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, and various bird species throughout the park. Return to Kigali in the evening for your overnight stay.

Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, transfer in the morning toward Volcanoes National Park. On the way, stop to meet a local agricultural entrepreneur and learn about farming in the region. Later, spend time at Kirenge Cultural Village to see local traditions and daily life. You'll overnight at your hotel in Musanze, which sits near the park entrance.

Golden Monkeys Trekking
Have breakfast at 6:30 am, then head to the park office at 7:00 am for Golden Monkeys trekking with your assigned guide through the forest. After trekking, visit the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund's Ellen Campus to learn about gorilla research and conservation. Grab lunch, then transfer back to Kigali for drop-off at your hotel or airport to end the tour.
