Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Chiang Mai
Your representative will meet you at the airport or train station and drive you to your hotel for check-in. Chiang Mai itself dates back to 1296, so there's a lot of history layered into this place. You'll notice Burmese influence throughout the city in the buildings, religious sites, and food you'll encounter.

Chiang Mai Temples
You'll drive up Doi Suthep to reach Wat Phrathad Doi Suthep, which sits 3500 feet above sea level and offers views across the entire city. The temple is famous for its 300+ steps leading up to it. From there, you'll continue to Wat Jed Yod and Wat Suandok, which has been around for about 700 years. Stop by the Royal Tomb to see its unique decorations, chat with some of the resident monks, and check out traditional Lanna silver plate work. If there's time left, you can try a traditional wood stick massage.

Chiang Rai and Golden Triangle
This is an early start at 7:00 AM with a drive toward Chiang Rai. You'll stop at Mae Kachan hot springs along the way, then visit Wat Rong Khun, the famous White Temple. The Golden Triangle is next, where you can see the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar all meet. You'll stop at Wat Phra That Chedi Luang and the House of Opium, then take a long-tail boat down the Mekong River. The drive back to Chiang Mai includes stops for refreshments, with your return around 8:30 PM.

Elephant Sanctuary Experience
Hotel pickup happens between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, getting you to the elephant sanctuary by 9:00 AM. After a safety briefing with the team, you'll visit the Elephant Cemetery and Education Building, learn how to prepare their food, and feed them. The Elephant Pharmacy is also part of the morning. Lunch runs from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. Afterward, you'll meet each elephant and hear their stories, watch them bathe and roll in mud, then take a walking tour alongside them. You'll head back to your hotel around 4:00 PM.

Bua Tong Sticky Waterfall
You'll travel outside the city from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM to reach the Bua Tong sticky waterfall. This place is unique because the limestone in the falls gives it a sticky quality that actually lets you climb it. You can scale the limestone face, swim in the water, and spend time in the natural surroundings.

Departure from Chiang Mai
The morning is free for you to do whatever you'd like before heading out. Your pickup for the airport will be arranged 2.5 hours before your flight time, so you'll have plenty of notice when your transfer to Chiang Mai airport happens.
