Very knowledgeable guides, plus a lot of fun. There is a lot of hiking on this tour, challenging at times but Dan and Pat did their best to make the group comfortable. We were well fed, entertained, and caught some beautiful fish. Can't wait to come back to Eastern Oregon. Thanks Dan & Pat!

This is a 4 day tour from July 25-28th. Apologies for the confusion, I'm not sure why it shows Days 1-5. This is our best selling tour and involves 4 incredible days in the wild.

What is suggested to pack on our trip?

We send a complete packing list via email once your trip is confirmed. In short, we allow 30lbs per person on our mules and this should include top, mid, and base layers, hiking boots, a sleeping bag (unless you're renting from us), etc. I'm happy to answer more specific questions as well.

Is this tour senior friendly? I am 61 and would rather not be with a group with children. I am fine with sharing a tent as taking care of our earth is important to me.

This is one of our public departures so we allow anyone to join, families and otherwise. As of now, the only other booking is a couple, no kids, and we'll run the trip as long as we meet our minimum of 4 guests. Daily hike distances range from 4-8 miles with 500-1500' elevation gain, and there is always an option to stay at basecamp during the middle days of the trip to relax, put your feet up, read a book, listen to the birds, etc. Depending on the final makeup of the trip you would either share a 4-person tent with cots with one other person or have your own private 2-person tent.
