We started with a very comprehensive briefing and kit check before then starting our expedition the next day. The expedition itself was as challenging as expected but our guides were exceptional throughout! Special mention to emanuel who was a great leader and also provided expert medical support. The summit day was incredibly challenging but we made it due to the acclimatisation approach spider tours and safaris implemented. - Nancy· August 13th, 2022I couldn’t recommend our expedition with spider tours and safaris Travel more. Everything was perfectly organised and allowed us to focus on the climb. The team of guides and porters were outstanding and everyone went the extra mile to look after you. Our guides were all looked after us and made sure we got up the mountain. I was personally ill with altitude sickness on an earlier day (thankfully not summit) and the care I received was fantastic. We felt safe in their hands and the camping part exceeded our expectations with excellent food and regular tea breaks during walking (to keep you energy up). I was the only vegetarian in the group and nervous I wouldn’t get as good meal but all my meals were incredible! I had excellent alternative proteins and very delicious meals (that the others also helped themselves to!). Also highly recommend going for the toilet option! For example, providing us with hot water packs before going to sleep, hot water to wash our hands with before dinner, a tea table set up on the mountain and a lot more. I also always felt very safe with our guide. He did two medical checks a day and had oxygen and a lot of medical stuff with him. The whole trip was great and we got three hot meals a day. During the hike, right when you needed it the most there would be a table set up with tea and something nice to eat. However, the red tablecloth, which almost looked artistic with the Kilimanjaro in the background, was not ironed. This was the biggest complaint that I could come up with, so all in all this trip was organized to perfection.
