Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and get greeted by the Nepali support team at the airport who'll escort you to your hotel. The drive gives you those first views of Nepal's snow-capped mountains in the distance, and you'll have time to settle in and adjust to the altitude.

Kathmandu
This is your guided tour day through Kathmandu's UNESCO sites. You'll see Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and head into Patan (Lalitpur) to walk through Patan Durbar Square. There you'll check out the Mahaboudha Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, Krishna Temple, and the Golden Temple, each with their own architectural details.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Paiya
You'll catch an early flight to Lukla, landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport, then start trekking to Paiya. The route takes you through jungle on a narrower trail, then you'll cross a bridge over Handi Khola to reach Surke Village. After that, continue south crossing the Chutok La pass to the small settlement of Paiyan.

Paiya to Panggom Village
Trekking today goes through rhododendron and bamboo forests on mountain trails that get narrow and winding. You'll cross the Kari La pass where the terrain gets slippery, traverse the Dudhkoshi Valley, and reach Panggom Village where farming families live.

Panggom Village to Ningsow
After breakfast, trek over the Panggom La pass and head north on a steady path. You'll cross the Peseng Kharka Khola and Ningsow Khola stream along the way, eventually reaching the village of Ningsow for your overnight stop.

Ningsow to Chhatra Khola
This day involves climbing and descending to reach Ramailo Danda with great views of Mera Peak and Salpa. You'll enter Makalu Barun National Park and continue on the Pasang Lhamu trail toward Chhatra Khola. Keep an eye out because red pandas do live in this area, though spotting one is rare.

Chhatra Khola to Kothe
Head north on the main trail toward Mera Peak, walking alongside the Majang Khola and Hinku Khola rivers. You'll pass seasonal tea shops around Tashing Ongma where you can grab tea, cross a bridge over Sanu Khola, and finish the day at Kothe.

Kothe to Thangnag
Hiking northwards along the west bank of Hinku Drangka River, you'll walk through populated areas with many villages and settlements. By late afternoon you'll reach Gondishung at 4,350m altitude where there's a 200-year-old monastery sitting beneath a rock overhang. From there, continue to Thangnag for the night.

- Day 9
Thangnag to Khare
Starting from Thangnag, the trail climbs to a wide grassy basin called Dig Kharka. You'll walk for several hours through that open terrain and arrive at Khare where you'll stay for the next couple of nights.

Khare
Today is your acclimatization day at Khare. You can relax at the lodge or take a short hike to the upper end of Khare if you're feeling good. This day lets your body adjust to the higher altitude before the push to high camp.

Khare to Mera High Camp
Trek to Mera High Camp takes about two hours through rock-strewn terrain. You'll reach the top of a rock band marked by a large cairn where high camp gets set up. By evening the views are incredible with Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lotshe, Nuptse, Chamlang, and Baruntse all visible across the landscape.

Mera Peak Summit
This is your summit day and it'll take 7 to 8 hours total. You'll start early, around 2am after a quick breakfast, and reach 6,000m by sunrise. From there you'll continue scaling to the summit of Mera Peak where you can see at least five of the world's 8,000m peaks. After reaching the top, you'll descend back to the campsite on the Hongu side of the pass.

Landmarks Mera Peak - Day 13
Spare Day
This day is kept as a spare attempt if weather or conditions prevented a successful summit on Day 12. You'll stay at high camp and monitor conditions. If weather improves, you'll head up again. If weather stays poor, you'll rest and prepare for the descent.

Mera High Camp to Kothe
After your successful summit, you'll descend back to Hinku Valley and retrace your route to Kothe. The trek takes about 6 hours and you'll spend the night at a local lodge, which feels relaxing after being at altitude.

Landmarks Hinku Valley - Day 15
Kothe to Zatrawa
After breakfast, head toward Zatrawa, which is your stopover before crossing Zatrawa La Pass. Along the way you'll cross several tributaries of Hinku Khola through rhododendron forests. You'll get views of Mera North, Mera Central, and Mera South from different angles on the trail.

Landmarks Zatrawa - Day 16
Zatrawa to Lukla
The trail crosses the rugged Zatrawa La Pass at 4,600m, winding through pristine hamlets and thick forest along Kalo Himal Ridge. It's a challenging day with both ascent and descent, then you'll continue all the way down to Lukla with views of Cho Oyu, Kongde Peak, Numbur Himal, and Kusum Khangru. In the evening, dinner happens with the climbing team.

Landmarks Zatrawa La Pass Kalo Himal Ridge - Day 17
Lukla to Kathmandu
Early morning flight gets you back from Lukla to Kathmandu. Once you land at the airport, your guide arranges a private vehicle transfer to your hotel so you can settle back in after the trek.

Kathmandu
You have a free day to do what you want. Whether that's relaxing at your hotel, exploring the shops in Thamel (the tourist hub), or just walking around the city, it's your time to recover and enjoy Kathmandu at a slower pace.

Landmarks Thamel - Day 19
Departure from Kathmandu
On your final day, an office representative takes you to the airport for your flight home. You'll leave with all those memories from climbing Mera Peak and trekking through the Nepali mountains.
